- Flights into Dubai International Airport are being diverted following heavy rainfall and major flooding.
More than 120 millimetres of rain fell on Tuesday.
Departure flights will continue, but inbound are set to be diverted.
The airport said that inbound flights would be diverted until weather conditions improve.
Passengers are being urged to check with their airline for the latest information about their flight status.

A fairly newly constructed city in the world, Dubai should have considered the possibility of worst case scenarios of heavy rain, tsunami, cyclone flooding by adapting the construction in line with adequate drainage systems and plantation by the experts that they hire all over the world as they don't lack finances. It must not be that easy but still they should work upon their water drainage. In other cities in the world, it rains/pours nonstop for hours almost every day or alternatively, but this thing doesn't happen there as they have well planned drainage systems.
