This is what I struggle with the most. I dont have time to practice since we are always in a rush at work so watching these videos really help me

It’s a skill that takes practice :) you’ll figure it out

Cools explanation. With those kinds of redirects. Does it dramatically change the load per redirect? Like when you add a 2/1 pulley, you increase the load on the pulley attachment point.

Awesome stuff guys! For anyone struggling with long limb walks I highly recommend a device that works on a tensioned line such as the TazLov3. Instead of limb walking I throw my tail over a limb I need to walk on, have the ground crew step off the line, and traverse down that tensioned line, avoiding all limb walking to the work. Apply your lanyard and redirect, and you're ready to work. I'm a capable climber but I struggle to limb walk. Hope this helps somebody :)

Yeah that’s a clever idea! I like it. Never tried it but I can see how it would work. It would probably work with a RRP or an Akimbo too

@Stridertrees Gotta have an additional carabiner if you want to drag tail with a RRP. Stay safe guys!

Have you ever done a review of the ART SpiderJack? I've found it to be the only thing that kept me going well into my late 50's. Especially when it's used through a pulley. I see all the other mechanical devices but almost nothing relating to the SpiderJack.

I’ve used the spiderjack 3 and I’ve talked about it, but I can’t say I’ve made a video on that device specifically. It is a great option for Moving rope systems. Very smooth very efficient, but has some downsides that keep me from recommending it. I also climb almost exclusively SRT.

What diameter roper are you and strider using with the megawatt? I have one and try to use it more often but find it sluggish with the rope.

I’ve found it works better as it breaks in, and on newer smaller ropes. The one we are using is 11.7mm woodpecker, and it works well for SRT.

@@thegreenrevival4424 there are some different grips I’ve found that are better than others as well, keep experimenting and you’ll find the sweet spot!
