Rod bearings, vanos pump, gearbox failure, and even the engine just exploding out of no where. This car is known to have extraordinary issues with reliability, but it's worth it. The E60 M5 is a supercar in sedan form
You’re 99% right but the engines won’t just explode out of nowhere, there has to be an issue be it oil starvation, injector failure, rod bearing failure. I’m not saying they’re reliable because they are a nightmare but full catastrophic failure for no reason is very rare on these
@@lukezx6r677 it really has nothing to do with bravery. It’s more to do with, ‘ don’t drive crazy when the engine is cold.’ A lot of times, people would just drive the hell of it when the engine is cold and wondering why the engine blew up, lol.
@@The_North0 mine were changed at 95k and they were down to the copper close to spinning, loads more are a similar mileage of are in similar condition. I fully agree that it’s mainly down to how they’re treat but bmw have still confirmed they’re a wearable component and 170k is pushing it, you wouldn’t even know until it started making a noise and by then it’s too late.
I feel like the V10 engine note is like the licorice of engine notes. People either love it or they don't. My preference is more for an inline 6 in a bimmer. The V10 sounds more like two Audi 5 cylinders competing against each other, but I do get that some folks like the cow moo song of a V10/straight 5.
I had the M6 E63 , best sounding ever ! Till it gave me rod bearings, vanos pump ! Lucky I had the manual so didn’t need to go through an smg nonsense ! Sold it for $5000 back in 2016 . Don’t get me wrong lovely car but not worth the money .
Needs a real exhaust setup on that, sounds really raspy and tinny. It's a NA engine, you gain no benefits from going catless. Put some good cats on, get a high quality exhaust made out of quality materials with good resonators and mufflers, and try something like an X pipe. It's an M car not a Nissan, stop cheaping out on it.
Sick sound of a formula 1 derived V10
No bmw today can beat the sound of an M5 E60 / M6 E63. THEY JUST CANT!, i absolutely love that 5.0 V10 ROAR!
as a huge bmw fan, i would say the c63 amg 6.3 black series is amazin too, yes its not a v10 but monster v8 sound
too bad every single other body style beats the hell out of it
@@warmbeer2I still think it looks fantastic though 😊

Incorrect. Stop believing the lies. I have e60 m5 with 170,000 on original rod bearing.
@@The_North0 170,000miles? Brave man to not get them changed with all the data on them now

beautiful car
Heck yea!!
Sounds like a Kazoo, literally close your eyes and your there listening to a Kazoo.
For some reason car ppl always think louder=better. This leads me to believe that their favourite genre is white noise played at 120dBA
Horrendous, absolutely horrendous.

cute, but let the men talk.
Umm the 4 cat delete absolutely gives about 60 HP gain, increases the noises and gas mileage quite considerably. Don't know what youre talking about.
who dynoed your car ?
Sound like a honda 😂
Well, then you need to get your fucking ears checked😂
Sounds like a broken exhaust
Whoosh
yall realy fw this
is it just me or it just slow and loud lol
Sounds like shit actually, no tone, just noise.
Send it to the repair shop and have the exhaust refabbed
Looks slow and sounds horrible tbh, poor example of a great car
Beaucoup de bruit pour pas grand chose
brother ew, it sounds like a sp'd civic lmao
Straight pipes sound like absolute garbage. Why do people do this?
