Had the Lexus IS300 1st Gen…Man that thing was thirsty ⛽️ & it took premium & that was when gas was cheap…But it was so much fun to drive, sold it when I had my 1st kid, trunk space was too small for that big ass stroller we bought lol
looks odd without the trd side skirts and rear skirt lol. i bought my 2nd one last month after selling the 1st one. its a qualitat modellista and got the head ported. amazing car for beginner drivers
@hondamanvtec2894 lol so this is mine and at first I thought that bumper was a ricer body kit till I looked it up. I didn't realize the paint was as bad as it is. Guess I'm going to learn to paint. I'm kinda sad about it having those ebay headlights though. Oem headlights are kinda expensive so eventually I'll get some.
this car actually have much better weight distribution than is300. Well because 2jz is too heavy. But American need moar torque ofc they would make it 2jz instead.
This is the one I got. I also got a 2dr rav4 with the 3sge beams engine. It's 180hp instead of the 210. They'll probably upload that video soon since I got it right after this one.
just like to say shoutout to PCA just picked up my car from the port, as described on the video and great mechanic connections. every thing was smooth and a nice team always keeping you updated. if youre on the fence on doing business with them and live in the USA then pull the trigger they are great! only issue that id recommend is finding your own customs broker that you feel comfortable with (i will be doing this next purchase from PCA) the customs broker PCA recommends gets the job done but always leaves you in the dark till last minute and id say thats the only headache i faced, they get the job done at the end of the day in case you dont have a customs brokers but just know ahead of time. 0 complaints for Pacific Coast Auto and the team, gladly getting more cars with them this year! P.S i brought some hichews late last year from japan and ran out and to my surprise PCA sent a bag of hichews with the cars paperwork, that was very cool of them :)
How was the experience with the brokerage PCA recommends? Any more details you can provide? Would seem weird for a company like PCA to recommend a flaky company but Im all ears
@@Cobra281s they get the job done but leave you in the dark till last minute of each step. Had to make a new inquiry since they never replied while the car was almost arriving at the port (from my understanding which needs paperwork to be filed before landing), shipping company even gave notice and forwarded that to them 0 response (from the original email thread) only got a response after making a new inquiry. After the car arrived at the port again 0 communication after reaching out to them for an update, which almost led to paying storage fees and my pick up was basically last minute and was out of town so it was frustrating. Again this was my experience maybe I just had bad luck but they get the job done if you can’t find a customs broker or a reliable one. It’s my only heads up for those who use them, maybe they’ll have a better experience but this is how mine was with that customs broker. PCA 0 complaints they always kept you updated when they receive new info and reply to you in a timely manner if you have a question or want an update on your vehicle.
That is actually quite worrying for those of us looking to do business with PCA. I hope this was an isolated incident since some buyers may not have the option to source their own broker.
@@Cobra281s pca is awesome, I’m sure my situation with that customs broker was a rare event but like always since there’s hardly any info it’s best to let people know ahead of time.
@@Cobra281s also another recommendation I can give is look into your port if a Twic card is needed, if needed I highly recommend getting it or else you’ll have to pay for a twic holder to be an escort for almost the same price as a twic card and the twic card comes with tsa pre check so it’s two birds with one stone
You can test the clutch of any standard drive it and try using all the gears if u notice it’s hard to go inside certain gear then the clutch needs changing
Pretty awesome cars and got plenty of spares for them including doors set, gearbox, beams engine but it bits as had broken a valve, ecu with wiring harness and gauge cluster, gril.
TO THE BUYER IF HE/SHE IS WATCHING THIS mechanically not fine as the rad is clearly leaking coolant at the end of the top hose. also change the cambelt as anything over 10 years is very bad and could result in it breaking and a valve being bent. trust it happened to me. also while in there do the water pump as they can start weeping oil pump seals the ziptie on the exhaust side VVTI solenoid has a ziptie on it, might want to investigate as the connector could be loose
As someone who drives an Altezza as well and had a stretched timing belt when bought, what were your symptoms of the bent valve? Did all the front seals and water pump, too! /Max

It looks clean
Those trd kit do look ricy
But that front bumper looks good
@@hondamanvtec2894 to each their own but it just looks off if it has the trd front bumper without the other bits

Rav4 never had this version and the one from the caldina was turbo charged so that makes this version so much more special

They are a Sparco wheel, Forged Crimson Viper R
sick intro
Interesting specimen, I would prefer a 6 cylinder Altezza myself
Is300 smoother but 8k rpm and 6 speed on these make for more fun especially with the 50/50 weight
I saw a twin turbo leggy in the back, don’t see them much anymore
Yeah, they used to be everywhere and only $1000. You can still get them at auction but the selection is down and the prices are up.
@@PacificCoastAuto I own one myself because of you lol, big fan of the chassis, I remember the port videos, they were regularly up back in the day
Good reviews
I assume the someone painted that engine cover gold?
Can you review the white Cima at 5:22
So fun story, this is my altezza and the white cima is also mine. Look out for a 2dr rav4 with the beams engine too 🤣
These are the modern ae86 lol
