I am confuse this prime minister boasting that he has been in politics more than 30years and has been MP for 27yrs. But then when you hear that an independent forensic expert who knows all about fraud and corruption went through the matter with a fine-tooth comb and found nothing untoward, it puts a differemt light on it. However in August after the further audit was performed and they now had confirmed the information they wrote letter to invite him to the office to discuss the matter after the investigation and confirm the Illicit enrichment . Even if he was not advised until August because he has come out and advised the public that he had searched hig and low and found no one who was investigated, he should have held a press conference after August 18 2023 and advised the public that further to his previous statement he received that letter on August 18. I'm not fighting against him but in Principle since it has reached this stage I believe From the Little Knowledge I gained in Constitutional Law Administratively and by Convention he Should either Be placed on a Special Leave of Absence or Resign and Let his Deputy Prime Minister Assume the role in the interim.
What you don't want to happen is the appearance of a Conflict of Interest being that by virtue of the PM remaining can exercise any undue influence over The FID and also that he can't be a Judge in his own cause overseeing the Daily Administration of Government when he's in a compromised state with an investigation being conducted on him.
Finally he must a avoid any appearance of bias and still show integrity .
