DS3231 RTC INTERFACING WITH ARDUINO

hi Tectutor. Working ds3231-rtc-with-arduino-including-digital-clock-using-LCD displayI got your code which calls for ds3231.h and IDE errs : cant find . I fetched this ds3231.h file and got in my disk. How I must tell IDE to consider this file that resides in my computer?. HOW Thanks Dr J

everything works fine, but when I disconnect the arduino from the PC, wait a few minutes, connect it again, Time starts from the moment where I cut off the power.
Where is the fault hardware or software?

battery? (assuming you commented out the parse_cmd once you had the date/time set). Once set, with a good battery it keeps good time (+/- 1min per year). I would check your battery and inspect the battery terminals, test that you see voltage coming into the board from the battery.
