I'm with you on Goddess! Such a meh perfume, like a watered down, less lasting and less rich version of Vanilla 28... I wasn't impressed and didn't purchase it. Khamrah though... wow such a beautiful fragrance, it smells like the holidays on me :)
Khamrah isn’t an Angels Share dupe despite the close similarities in packaging. I think people saw that and smelled the similar spices and assumed but I’ll come back with what it’s inspired from.
One of my blind buys that i absolutely hated was Rosendo Mateu No 5. It was the most synthetic thing I’ve ever smelled. Just literal plastic and rubber to me.
I was on a Dua kick with one of their sales. I decluttered 6 fragrances after I let them sit for 6months and still didn’t like them. I have 3 left and won’t be purchasing more.
Good morning Jackie 😊 You’re the one who taught me that there’s a difference between oxidization and maceration. I‘ve always understood what macerating means but I learned that oxidization happens first. I’m so fascinated with all things fragrance.
Good morning 🌞 it’s all very fascinating and confusing lol 😆 maceration happens first and is done by the perfumer. It’s when they chemically bind the notes in a solvent (alcohol). This process is done before the perfume is bottled up and sold. (Usually) Oxidation is when you get the perfume and spray it a few times introducing it to oxygen. This begins the aging or maturation process. Some notes like vanilla and patchouli age really well and get stronger over time. It’s all really quite interesting! I didn’t know any of this until recently! Thanks so much for watching. ❤️
Devotion! I don’t hate it but I was so disappointed. Fortunately I’m only stuck with a travel size. Early in 2023 I also tried a bunch of Tom ford travel sizes that I absolutely hated. Bitter peach, soleil blanc, and white suede. I realized this year that I don’t like magnolia and ylang ylang notes. But my worst blind buy this year was delina la rosee. I got such a great deal on it I bought a full bottle blind. Argh!
Jackie, you're not gonna like this. My worst blind buy this year was Chocolate Queen. I got like 5 minutes of gourmand notes, then it turned into an overpowering amberwood. I can't do amber, not in those quantities. It was also a huge disappointment, because the chocolate was nowhere to be found. Decluttered it. Other notes I found out this year I couldn't do: prominent sandelwood and cardemom. Two other fails were Santal Austral and Vanille Insensée. So all in all it has been an educational year. I hope to take all this information into next year seeing as my goal is to buy much less than this year, and keep the blind buys to a minimum.
I totally get it! The amberwood is definitely prominent in chocolate queen and I know it’s is not for everyone. I definitely learned a lot about what I don’t like this year too. So fun!
If you bought Chocolate Queen for the expectation of gourmand chocolate and didn’t get it, I’d recommend finding a decant of Dolce Passione by Pantheon Roma. Although it’s close enough that they smell like half siblings, the elements that are different make it so much better to me. Check out the notes and maybe give it a try sometime. The dry down and longevity is wonderful.
@@ThePhoenixx2012 Thank you so much for your recommendation, and I must say: you are spot on! I got Dolce Passione earlier this year, and wow... it is heaven. I find it to be a piece of art. Very underrated. All the best from the Netherlands and Happy Holidays 🎄.
I don't like Chocolate Queen either. Save up your coins and get Feve Gourmand by Guerlain or try Choco Violette by Mancera. Or Velvet Chocolate by Theodoros Kalotinis.
Great video Jackie! I've been binge watching while I work, clean house, etc. Anyway, my worst, worst blind buy of the year, and possibly of all time, was the perfume from the hair brand, Ceremonia. Perfume de la Tierra. I bought it after hearing another RUclipsr talk about it. I tried to wear it and I would layer it with Golden Nectar from Nest or Tangerine Boy, but I just hated it. Thankfully, it wasn't very expensive. I've heard of a few who like it, I would just say, try not to blind buy it.
I blind bought Kayali Vanilla 28 thinking it would be great for layering. Nope! I know everyone raves about it but there was a distinct patchouli note that I couldn’t stand. I’ll stick with my Vanilla Woods for layering! I agree, Goddess is nice but left me underwhelmed.
My top three worst parfumes for 2023 are: Amorous by Navitus nothing but a super tangy "Apple jolly rancher" scent, Xerjoff Erba Pura Gold which on me was a bowl of super rippen fruits and wood notes (Yuck) and last but not least Yum Pistachio Gelato so overpowering that I had to immediately scrub my arms. These three scents provoked a nausating body reaction or headache on me. Your are right on, Jackie - Try before you buy is best!
Oh, Jax, I was with you until Khamrah. Love it, although it has very little to do with Angel's Share. I read somewhere it was supposed to be a dupe of the Dates Delight from The House of Oud. Never smelled that. I only ordered one Dua fragrance which was a dupe for Kilian's Princess. It was really good! I also own an old bottle (5 years) of Olympia Intense. Perhaps they changed the formulation? It isn't sharp at all.
I do see a similarity with DD! But Khamrah would be a cheap version of that. I don't think these Arabian houses can make dupes of boozy perfumes on account of their religion.
Hey Jackie. Congratulations on 10k🎉. Fortunately I haven’t done too many blind buys, but for the most part, I’ve had more success than failures. Two of my worst blind buys are Dua’s Dark Chocolate, Rum, & Vanilla (Gourmand Coquin), and Jousset Accident a la Vanille. They both smelled a little weird on me.
I didn't buy any of the ones that you did, but I sampled Goddess and also the Passiagiata. Goddess was fine, just a bit snooze, not one for me. Passiagiata I just didn't like and that got so much hype 😂. My worst buys were Miller Harris Rose en Noir, Ghost Dark Night and Floris White Rose, all thankfully decluttered and long gone 😂 Congratulations on 10K 🎉
I am just convinced that we have very different tastes in perfumes... and you love some of my loves too. But I really enjoy some of your worst Blind Buys 🙈 and I test and try and buy a lot of fragrances too. I guess just goes to show how people need to try for themselves because different strokes for different folks
FYI Jackie.......got my Bond No 9 Chelsea Nights today. You are gonna LOVE this one! My second blind buy from them in a month(first was New York Nights) and I know...we should not blind buy but it worked out again. I don't recommend blind buying either unless intensive research is done and scores of reviews hashed thru. Both of these scents are supreme! Have a sample of Tribeca but that has not wowed me and now samples of China Town and Peace for Her.....will let you know my thoughts there but for now, I am extremely happy with these first two scents from Bond No. 9. Looking forward to new Spring releases soon??? :)
My worst blind buy was Montale Chocolate greedy! It smelled like old cocoa powder filled with dust that had been sitting in the cabinet for decades 😂 Most disappointing one was probably M Micallef Note Vanillee Nectar. Wasn't awful but not at all what I imagined.
I love the original Olympèa and the Intense is possibly my favorite. My worst blind buy this year was either Olympèa Legend or the Narciso Rodriguez white cube that’s been discontinued. I’ve heard so many people rant & rave about how it’s the best out of the cube fragrances and it’s a hard pass for me. I’m letting sit, hopefully macerate and oxidize, anything that might help before I declutter. I’ve heard about this beautiful gardenia note that’s so pleasant! I don’t get it and I ordered it from Dillard’s dept store. It was bad! Love hearing these risky blind buys!😊
I've almost bought Khamrah several times but held back. I think it's because of the cinnamon, which some reviewers said was very strong. And while I do like cinnamon in some things, I don't like for it to be the loudest voice in the room. I'm doing the same thing, now, with Nebras, which sounds really good (and comes in a gorgeous bottle), but I'm still holding back. This is the second video I've seen in the space of a week from a reviewer saying she was underwhelmed by Lattafa. And now, this comment makes you the third. So, thank you for sharing your thoughts.
I felt the same way about Khamrah when I first got it I thought it was OK but when I would wear it, there was something offputting I did not like. I figured i’d eventually sell it, so I put it in the back of my closet and a few months later went back to it and could not believe how much it improved. It’s one of my favorites. It got way sweeter and that woodyness got way Milder just better.
Jax I LOVE watching your channel lol. Even though I seem to be about 50/50 with your nose, watching and hearing you describe your experiences and interpretations of fragrances is so much fun. Thank you for being you!🫶🏾🫶🏾
Blasphemy on the Khamrah!!! J/k😅 It's not an Angels Share dupe. It stands on it's own and I have to admit initially when I bought it, I wondered what in the world the hype was about. I found it screechy and harsh. Then I let it sit for a few weeks and revisited it. It was magic in a bottle. It is easily in my top 5 faves now. I enjoyed your vids so much this year. Looking forward to 2024.❤
My worst blind buy was angel share. 😢 lots of good blind buys though. Will pass it along to someone else. I agree burbery goddess was just okay. I also decluttered it
Dua🤦♀️so agree. But after oxidation it’s ok to wear them for everyday running errands. But who cares, if we all have big collections 😂, I’d better wear my L’interdit or la Vie Est Belle, or Light Blue Flanker
I don't get the hype about Goddess. I tried it, it's nice. But I have so many other fragrances I prefer...😊 Have 3 Trussardi (including the one you mentioned). I like them. But they aren't "loves". They can't all be wins...🤷♀️
This was hilarious! I don't like Cruz del Sur either. I live in the Caribbean and there's mango trees everywhere and to me, Cruz del Sur smelled like the rotten mangoes on the ground in the form of an expired mango yogurt. It was horrible 😂
Oh Jackie. I wanted to love Cruz del Sur II, also. For me, it was a spoiled mango milkshake left out in the sun. I was sad. I can imagine how it smells great on others, though.
Oh wow there are a lot of perfumes on your list that I really enjoy! I love Frank Boclets Ylang Ylang. Carmelized Ylang Ylang is delicious. Don't need to overspray it but I love it ❤
I bought Burberry Goddess and returned it the next day. I just know it would get lost in my collection. Not special enough and definitely not worth the price tag lol
Interestingly enough DBIR intense was my preferred bc it smells like LESS jasmine and a pretty vanilla in the lime light. The original was the weird jasmine smelling one to me. Chances are if it’s vanilla forward, I’m reaching for it lol.
Hey gorgeous! Those failed blind buys are 😅 Cruz Del Sur II is very polarizing. It seems like it’s a love or hate. I am fortunate that it works well with my skin chemistry. ❤❤
I used to be a die hard Dua fan. Owned a massive amount. No more. I've had the vanilla note die in a lot of my bottles and as a gourmand lover, it was very upsetting. I've sold off a good portion of my collection.
Totally agree about Dua. I've had some that smell like gasoline & even after sitting for a while they didn't improve. They aren't cheap for me in aust with the conversion but it gave me a chance to try some really expensive fragrances. I have a few faves but now trying to use up my collection & spending on quality
I agree with Cruz del sur II. I think we dislike the same note (the violet leaf). It’s way too green and completely ruined the fragrance. Also OMG I thought I was the only one who thought Olympia intense was funky🤣🤣🤣. I do not like it.
I got a travel of Burberry Goddess. I’m with you on this one. I blind bought Olympea Intense and it is definitely intense. I’m with ya on that one too. Luckily I have a friend who loves it and I gave it to her. Of all the others, I’ve only tried DBIR intense. It’s okay, got a travel, won’t buy a FB if I ever use all of it though.
I absolutely love Goddess. I'm on my 2nd bottle 😂 I personally think it's unique bc it is vanilla and ginger that really stands out to me. I paired it with Navitus Baklava and wow so nice but I love it on its own ❤
🍅 🍅 🍅 🍅 🍅 I Really Enjoy Burberry Goddess!! 🍅 🍅 🍅 😂 but agree that it is too expensive for what it is... and it does remind me of Guerlain Mon Guerlain a lot. Which can be found for way cheaper these days
I had the exact same experience with Olympia Intense! I thought maybe I had gotten an old bottle or something but it was an immediate declutter. New subbie and I’m loving your content! Cheers
Congratulations on 10k🎉🎉🎉 i got very lucky this year and love everything i blind bought but in 2022 i had a lot of fails gave them to my sister or husband
This year I have many blind buy and I’m very disappointed with many .😢 Now I’m done with Dua and Middle East perfume . Goddess is not worth for me and I don’t like Born In Roma 😊Thank you for the video Jax , I will make sure get the sample before purchase full bottle .
I’ve found dual fragrances to be soooo disappointing. I’ve given them a fair try with two orders and 20 fragrances and not a single one have I worn more than once. 😢
No one would come for you 🤣🤣🤣 girl it’s perfume not everything smells amazing lol this was fun I love hearing about fragrances that don’t work out! Congratulations on 10k 🤗🤗❤️
Not really blind buying anything of any real value anymore - testing with decants and samples is the best for me. Two I did not like this year: Ivory Route (herbal savory vanilla) and Broceliande (animalic…a squirrel 🐿️doused in citrus 🍋juice 🤣). I know these are loved in the community but…🤷🏼♀️ I don’t get the hype over Goddess either, it’s OK?
Oh no I love ivory route and Broceliande! 😆 but I get it….. very polarizing scents and not blind buy safe. Your description of Broceliande did make me lol 😂
Olympia Intense was one of my first declutters. I am happy you mentioned Cruz Del Sur II, because I really want a long lasting tropical fruit fragrance. I would say Angel Muse, Gris Charnel and Pas Ce Soir as found buy fails.
Hey now, not my Pas Ce Soir… 😂 if you’re looking for a good tropical fruit fragrance, have you tried Simone Andreoli Leisure in Paradise? I’m obsessed.
I have not smelled Leisure in Paradise, but am tempted to get a sample based on your recommendation. I don’t hate Pas Ce Soir, but it gets annoying on me. It has something that is too much and cuts through the other notes to my nose and can make me almost queasy by the end of the day. I have several notes that do that(mostly florals). But I love Rouge Smoking from BDK and will probably get a couple Simone Andreoli samples to try the house. I love hearing why people declutter because it may save me time and money if we don’t like something else for the same reason. Or it may persuade me the opposite if I know that it isn’t an issue I struggle with and it is the only negative I hear.
I didn't blind buy very many full bottles this year but I ordered DUA's Carnival de DUA which sounds like this amazing gourmand but it was absolutely terrible. Even after letting it sit for several months, it never got any better. I'm with you, I don't think DUA is a house for me. I also ordered a good-sized sample of Blanche Bete this year and it was an instant scrubber. 😬
I think I’m done with the house of Dua as well. I have purchased five fragrances and don’t actually care for any of them. There is something just “off”. I wonder if it’s the oil that they use, i just don’t know. But I will not be buying another Dua fragrance again.
I used to LOOOOOVE my BDK Rouge Smoking until I bought DUA’s impression. Ugh! 🤢 You ever smell a plastic decant and the top smells fishy? Well, their Rouge Smoking smelled like the OG RS with a fishy twist to it. Gross! Now when I smell my original RS, I can only smell that “fish” note. I agree, DUA has an odd smell to all their fragrances.
Without a doubt, Unspoken Musk by Francesca Bianchi. And I've got to sell it. I thought I would get out of my safe zone, but no and no. Bianchi and Zoologist are not for me.
I made one blind buy this year and it was bianco latte by giardini di toscana. I bought it because of the hype and I love gourmant scents. But for me it doesn't smell like cookies. It smells like play doh and an ikea candle in a very bad way. Together with the sharp green note it makes me wanna through up. And then it is so strong that it took really long to get that smell away 🤢
Oh no!!! I’m on Bianco Latte hype train 😆 I’ve heard others share this experience as well though…. It’s definitely not working for some people. On me, it smells like a vanilla, caramel, honey cookie with cinnamon. That’s so fascinating that some people are getting play doh! 😯 Thanks for sharing your experience.
Dua ‘s attempt to create a fragrance inspired by Creed’s Carmina called The Poem was a fail, to my nose it smells like a cheap Rose perfume….Lattafa tried to copy Angel’s share and failed….sprayed on my skin it smells very synthetic…..I have declutterred both….😩
I don't have any blind buy fails this year because I've only blind bought one full size bottle 😄 It is Ginger Biscuit. Not a huge fan, honestly, but given its longevity, I will be done with my 30 ml very fast 🙈😀
I didn’t like Latafa Khamrah either, I feel like it has nothing! It’s an empty thing and very poor longevity! I had Olympea intense & declutter it! This year I blind bought sand dance, ivory route and it was a total fail, so disappointed! These two has strong tobacco smell, can’t stand it
Burberry goddess blind bought and gave it away. There are way better vanilla fragrances around, it was really basic. Luckily got a small sample of guidance, I don’t like it. Too much going on with that fragrance for me.
Ajwad by Lattafa. I should have paid closer attention to some of the reviews I watched---and then watched some others. I can describe this fragrance only in words like "confusing" and "loud"---like actually shouting at me non-stop until I scrub it off (and it takes some scrubbing). I can't make out specific notes because they're all just chaotically vying for attention. At least, that's all I can pick up, and I'll admit my nose for fragrances is still fairly new. It probably does need to macerate for a while (like a year-plus, maybe), but I'm not optimistic that this will ever be a love--or even a like. I'll probably end up decluttering it.
My worse blind buy of 2023 was Ce'Noir from Beyonce. I absolutely hate it. I was running home to scrub my skin and wash my clothes. It smells like an old folks home, cleaner and flowers. All the girls love it and I don't know why. I am going to give it away to a long distance relative. I don't want nobody near me wearing it. It gave me an instant headache.
I have tried it and I think it’s very good, but it really leans masculine on me, so it was a pass. Really terrific quality perfume, just not to my taste.
The thrills and chills of blind buying happens to the best of us 🤣🤣🤣
I should learn … but I probably won’t. 😆
Congratulations on 10K Jackie!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 We’re so damn proud of you!!! You deserve this! 15K - here we come!
Thank you so much ☺️
This series has been so fun to watch. Congratulations on 10K🎉🎉🎉 (I'm speaking it into existence since you're soooooo close) 💖💖💖

Same! I smelled Goddess and thought…. Eh. It’s nice, but so basic. Can’t hype something that smells like 10 other perfumes out there.
The peach in flowerbomb ruby orchid is one of my favorite perfumes with a peach note
This was hilarious! I don't like Cruz del Sur either. I live in the Caribbean and there's mango trees everywhere and to me, Cruz del Sur smelled like the rotten mangoes on the ground in the form of an expired mango yogurt. It was horrible 😂
😂 oh no! 🙈
Oh Jackie. I wanted to love Cruz del Sur II, also. For me, it was a spoiled mango milkshake left out in the sun. I was sad. I can imagine how it smells great on others, though.
I really wanted to love it too 😔
I blind bought Burberry Goddess too. I love the smell, but the longevity is quite disappointing. 😅😅 3 hours max
It did seem quite light to me as well.
Oh wow there are a lot of perfumes on your list that I really enjoy! I love Frank Boclets Ylang Ylang. Carmelized Ylang Ylang is delicious. Don't need to overspray it but I love it ❤
I think a lot of people love Ylang Ylang. I bought it because I heard some people raving about it. It just doesn’t work for me.
I bought Burberry Goddess and returned it the next day. I just know it would get lost in my collection. Not special enough and definitely not worth the price tag lol
💯 agree
Ginger biscuit was a huge let down
I really wish the performance was better.
I’m so glad I tried Burberry Goddess in the mall
Definitely not for me
Interestingly enough DBIR intense was my preferred bc it smells like LESS jasmine and a pretty vanilla in the lime light.
I really wanted to love it.
Congratulations on 10k🎉!!! My 3 worst blind buys that I wish I would have loved were Mandorle, La Capitale, and Italica nope…nope…nope for me 😅
Oh no! Lol I love Italica and La Capitale 😆 mandorle was not for me either. The opening smells like carmex chapstick 😂
@@jaxbeautifulyou I so wanted to love them all, but not on my skin, and yessss Mandorle smells exactly like cherry carmex 😖
Omg!!!! Cruz Del sur was a freaking scrubber for me. It smelled like the stink bugs we have in Virginia!!! I was mortified!🤢😂
😂
I used to be a die hard Dua fan. Owned a massive amount. No more. I've had the vanilla note die in a lot of my bottles and as a gourmand lover, it was very upsetting. I've sold off a good portion of my collection.
I just have not been impressed.
Totally agree about Dua. I've had some that smell like gasoline & even after sitting for a while they didn't improve. They aren't cheap for me in aust with the conversion but it gave me a chance to try some really expensive fragrances. I have a few faves but now trying to use up my collection & spending on quality
I try not to blind buy anymore, but I'm so weak for sales and discounts! my worst this year was Versace Crystal Noir edt
I'm not a fan of Donna BIR Intense either. dissappears on me after 30 minutes
Yes! Some people say it’s strong but on me it was not great performance.
I agree with Cruz del sur II. I think we dislike the same note (the violet leaf). It’s way too green and completely ruined the fragrance. Also OMG I thought I was the only one who thought Olympia intense was funky🤣🤣🤣. I do not like it.
Yes I do think it’s the violet leaf! I struggle with that note.
Omg!!! I ADORE Dirty Banana!! It smells like a fantastic ripened banana to me. One of my faves
That’s good to know! On me, it smells like bananas and sweat. 🤣
Burberry goddess reminds me of old residential care homes. I get zero vanilla, just really old dry dusty lavender. 🤢 I do love Khamrah tho 🥰🥰
living vicariously through you. many congratulations on 10k and so well deserved! wish you greater success in the new year!!🎉
Thank you so much!!
Yay 10k! Well done 🎉
Thank you 😊
Oh no, I just bought Burberry Goddess during the Sephora sale last night 😅 luckily I got the travel size in case I don’t love it
You may love it! A lot of people do. It is pretty.
I absolutely love Goddess. I'm on my 2nd bottle 😂 I personally think it's unique bc it is vanilla and ginger that really stands out to me. I paired it with Navitus Baklava and wow so nice but I love it on its own ❤
@@DanielleNicoleMakeup ooo thanks for the tip! I’ve been dying to try Baklava soon so I’ll have to keep that in mind
😆 I get why some people like Goddess. It is pretty.
I also am on the Goddess hype train. I love the combo of ginger and vanilla. But I got mine on Aura for $96 the 3 oz bottle. Gonna get another 😂
10,000 congrats!🎉
Thank you 😊
Hey Jackie! Yes we hyped Burberry Goddess 😂
🤣
I love the look on your face in the thumbnail! 😂
Lol side eye 😒
🤣🤣🤣🤣 I appreciate it but, I agree with you. Goddess is extremely regular lol.
💯
I had the exact same experience with Olympia Intense! I thought maybe I had gotten an old bottle or something but it was an immediate declutter. New subbie and I’m loving your content! Cheers
Thanks for sharing!! Yeah I think it’s the grapefruit blossom. It’s so potent on me. I think some people don’t detect it though. 🤷🏻♀️
Congratulations on 10k🎉🎉🎉 i got very lucky this year and love everything i blind bought but in 2022 i had a lot of fails gave them to my sister or husband
Thank you! Nice! No blind buy fails…. That’s awesome 🤩
This year I have many blind buy and I’m very disappointed with many
.😢 Now I’m done with Dua and Middle East perfume . Goddess is not worth for me and I don’t like Born In Roma 😊Thank you for the video Jax , I will make sure get the sample before purchase full bottle .
Aw sorry you didn’t have many good blind buys this year 😞 but yes, testing first is definitely the safe way to go! Thanks for watching. 💕
I haven't ordered many DUAs but the two I have are excellent. I must have got lucky.
I’ve found dual fragrances to be soooo disappointing. I’ve given them a fair try with two orders and 20 fragrances and not a single one have I worn more than once. 😢
You're at 10k subscriber's 🎉🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿 well deserved!
Thank you 😊
No one would come for you 🤣🤣🤣 girl it’s perfume not everything smells amazing lol this was fun I love hearing about fragrances that don’t work out! Congratulations on 10k 🤗🤗❤️
Thank you 😊
I agree about Goddess
Xerjoff erba pura and ambille were my blind purchases this year and I was so disappointed.
Thank you Jackie
Not really blind buying anything of any real value anymore - testing with decants and samples is the best for me. Two I did not like this year: Ivory Route (herbal savory vanilla) and Broceliande (animalic…a squirrel 🐿️doused in citrus 🍋juice 🤣). I know these are loved in the community but…🤷🏼♀️ I don’t get the hype over Goddess either, it’s OK?
Oh no I love ivory route and Broceliande! 😆 but I get it….. very polarizing scents and not blind buy safe. Your description of Broceliande did make me lol 😂
Jill!! The squirrel in citrus juice 💀💀💀😆😆😆
I’ve obviously been reading too many Fragrantica reviews 😳
@@jillshorten3457 LMBO!!
I see you made it to 10K 🎉 congrats 🥂 with quite a few weeks to spare!
Thank you 😊
I felt the same way about Burberry goddess. It was boring
Burberry goddess was ok, just not an amazing vanilla. I gave it away. That’s when I realized my collection was pretty big.
Oh no I love Blanche bete! 🙈 but yeah, Dua is not the house for me either.
Yep. Ylang is going to be a love/hate. 😂
I actually done love it or hate it. Except in the heat the mimosa gets a little too much for me. 😬
It was just too much for me.
Where do you de-clutter your perfumes? I was surprised the first two I love.
I think I’m done with the house of Dua as well. I have purchased five fragrances and don’t actually care for any of them. There is something just “off”. I wonder if it’s the oil that they use, i just don’t know. But I will not be buying another Dua fragrance again.
Yeah idk what it is but yes they smell off for sure to my nose. I won’t be buying anymore either.
Omg! I literally said Burberry Goddess was boring. Pretty but super boring, I didn't understand the hype. It smelled like shampoo.
💯
I used to LOOOOOVE my BDK Rouge Smoking until I bought DUA’s impression. Ugh! 🤢 You ever smell a plastic decant and the top smells fishy? Well, their Rouge Smoking smelled like the OG RS with a fishy twist to it. Gross! Now when I smell my original RS, I can only smell that “fish” note.
I agree, DUA has an odd smell to all their fragrances.
Oh wow that’s so interesting. I had the dupe , I think it’s called she loves red. I definitely prefer the OG! Our noses are wild lol 😆
10k🎉🎉🎉congrats💕💕
Thank you!!
Without a doubt, Unspoken Musk by Francesca Bianchi. And I've got to sell it. I thought I would get out of my safe zone, but no and no. Bianchi and Zoologist are not for me.
Cruz Del Sur II… it just smells like a raw, not ripe enough to eat yet mango. Maybe by summer it will smell like that creamy mango lassi.
Celeste is better than Bianco Latte IMO. And Jousette's vanillas are better than Bianco Latte IMO.
Dua ‘s attempt to create a fragrance inspired by Creed’s Carmina called The Poem was a fail, to my nose it smells like a cheap Rose perfume….Lattafa tried to copy Angel’s share and failed….sprayed on my skin it smells very synthetic…..I have declutterred both….😩
Yeah I wasn’t impressed
I don't have any blind buy fails this year because I've only blind bought one full size bottle 😄 It is Ginger Biscuit. Not a huge fan, honestly, but given its longevity, I will be done with my 30 ml very fast 🙈😀
Yeah I blind bought ginger biscuit too. Love how it smells but performance is 👎🏻
I didn’t like Latafa Khamrah either, I feel like it has nothing! It’s an empty thing and very poor longevity! I had Olympea intense & declutter it! This year I blind bought sand dance, ivory route and it was a total fail, so disappointed! These two has strong tobacco smell, can’t stand it
I love Ivory Route, but I can not do sand dance. No ma’am. The whiskey was doing the most and made me gag 🤢
@@jaxbeautifulyouyes I agree
Hey Jackie do you smell that smoky aspect in Franck Boclet Ylang Ylang ?
I don’t remember smelling smoky but it’s been a minute since I smelled it.
Congrats on 10 k ! Well deserved 😊 I think Tom Ford lost cherry was my worst and most expensive blind buy 😮
Thank you 😊
No sam, no ham. Burberry Goodess is pretty. Its a safe vanilla. You gotta discount buy... lol no full price here
And Cruz Del Sur II!!?? 😵 i actually prefer DUAs dupe for this. But I love a creamy mango. I think you would like DUAs better lol
I think it’s the violet leaf in the fragrance. I often struggle with it.
Burberry goddess blind bought and gave it away. There are way better vanilla fragrances around, it was really basic. Luckily got a small sample of guidance, I don’t like it. Too much going on with that fragrance for me.
Guidance was a scrubber for me. It smells like body Oder on me 😔 I’m sad, I wish I got the magic some people get.
I have not tried it but now I’m scared 😆 😬 I think I’ll pass.
Ha, I decluttered Ajwaad as well. It is waaay too strong and metallic to my nose.
I have not had a chance to try it yet but thanks for the heads up lol 😯
@jaxbeautifulyou LOL, I know I was being dramatic, but see if you can get a sample before you buy it.
My scrubber was Jo Malone velvet rose and oud , was disappointed with Orianna but do wear it occasionally
I did not care for velvet rose and oud either. Oriana is a love for me though.
Congrats on 10K
Thank you!!
Wouldn't it be funny if dirty banana 🍌 was code for what's in a dirty jock strap? Lol and that's why it smells like a locker room?
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂
I have about 8 DUA’s and I cant even give them away they are so bad 😂 and they have had ample time to sit
Yeah, I don’t think Dua is the house for me.
Try Dapper and Alexandria
Hi beautiful lady!
I need to know from you if you tried the new Tobacco Honey Guerlain. What do you feel about it? It sounds so delicious. Thank you!
I have tried it and I think it’s very good, but it really leans masculine on me, so it was a pass. Really terrific quality perfume, just not to my taste.
