Couldn't agree more on the teasing of skates, really excited about Iqon and the Gawds hardboot but really need to show us something!!! Top video as always Law, I'm sure you will love the Gawds...I've had the Prados for coming up on a year and they are amazing.
I always think the carbon-free skates look incredible, but I've heard they are heavy and can be bulky. What's the specs on weight compared to other skates? When you try them out, will you please mention if they feel like lugging giant weights in your shoes? Great video, thanks for your hard work!
thanks for the response about the oxygens. you no need to skate them for the vintage skate videos, i don't wanna see them crumble either haha. even just talking about them would be interesting enough for a vintage skate video
Hi! Got the fm3s. They feel kind of low. Are they made low specially for this model? Are the FM2s also that low? Do you know where to buy the USD Sam Crofts in red? They seem to be sold out everywhere.
These start off super stiff! Some people can have a harsh break in period, but stick with them because once broken in they are one of the comfiest skates on market. Super cushioned and supportive. With both my pairs of Gawds i chose to not use the metal lace holders on the sides so i could lace them to the top.
@@soundtorial4567 a fair few sessions, then they will feel tons better. What i did is get a hair dryer and blow hot air into them for 6 mins each boot, that’ll soften the foams up a tad without damaging them. Just dont touch the liners with the hairdryer.
@@GeorgeWPush I'm not sure, but I'll tell you I skate a US11 carbon and I have the XL VII souls and there's a lot of over hang. It looks ugly, but at least it gives more protection to the boot, plus the souls are hard to come by so that's the only size I could get. Also if you meant fit as in attaching them to the boot then I did a bit of dremelling to make them fit well. I've heard some people say just force them on, but I didn't feel like doing that with my new carbon boots! I think most people do a bit of dremelling tbh.
@@chilli-iceolive-abode2447 I just read that for a 10 carbon u want the Medium Vii soles so you probably needed the Larges. I also learned today that there's no M or L vii plates in stock anywhere and they are out of production soo Adapt plates it is.
@@GeorgeWPush Yeah that's sounds right r.e. the large being the correct size. I'm happy with the XLs thankfully the look doesn't really bother me. They've been getting harder and harder to find! I managed to get the last two from prolineskates a while back and just copped the last set from hedonskate. The only other place I know of in Europe with any xls is skadiman and they're in red. If you're in America I always hear people saying rollerwarehouse has some, but I haven't checked. I wish Gawds still made their original soul plate cuz I would've loved to try those. Adapt are meant to be great plates and you've already got the wheel wells. I'm oping they're gonna make more VII souls for aftermarket considering they're using them on the new Gawds 🤞
@@GeorgeWPush sorry for my essay, you can probably tell I like skates. I have heard of people using seba souls on carbons, they're a little thinner I think, but apparently slide well. I think there may even be some pictures online somewhere.
The trinity adapters have holes that line up with the USD Sway soul plate bolts so they fit those without modding. I know people have modded them to fit other boots, but I think they were all raised heel and boots like the Gawds, carbons and frees are all flat. I'm not an expert, but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't work unless anyone knows otherwise?
@@chilli-iceolive-abode2447 I have the same opinion. The Trinity adapter has the shape of the elevated heel. Maybe you can warp it to fit a flat sole, but should you? I honestly cannot think if a good reason, plenty of good UFS big wheel frames nowadays: Compass, Wizard, Rockin, Kizer Element, GC HD, FR has some UFS frames too..
@@danielreigdiaz1373 I concur I think it would be a good way to mess up some expensive skates tbh! I bought the trinity adapters myself, but never used them cuz tbh there is such a variety of frames available for UFS now!
@@danielreigdiaz1373 I love all the options available now. I really like the look of the 4x100 rockin' frames, but I can't justify the money right now 😬
I'm hoping they'll be available aftermarket again soon in Europe as I've only got one pair left now 😬 Seeing as they're using them on the Gawds still fingers crossed they'll be restocked 🤞
Yes! Been trying to decide between carbons or the fm3's for my next skates. All I want is comparison chat when u do the review lol
I wish i had a skate shop like this near me.

I use the reign v3ht in my Valo super thin and solid.

These were 100g heavier than the Carbon, 50g of which came from the VII souls. I didn’t compare with other skates though.

Law, where can I get that killer 50/50 shirt?!
Glad you like the kizer fluid 4, super curious what you thought
such a good frame for anti rocker 💪
I would love a skateshop like that near me.... I would be even more broke....🤷♂️
The FM3s feel like im wearing shoes not skates...
Hi!
Got the fm3s. They feel kind of low.
Are they made low specially for this model? Are the FM2s also that low?
Do you know where to buy the USD Sam Crofts in red? They seem to be sold out everywhere.
These can be bought with fluid v frames from inline warehouse
It needs a red cuff to finish off the Varsity look.
Nah bro it’s supposed to look like the Retro Jordan 12 “cherrys”
The look reminds me of RB TRS Alphas or TRS Details
@backtoblading did they stop making Gawds soul plates, why are they using USD VII soul plates?
Yeah, they were limited
Do you happen to know if the FM3s use all the same hardware as a carbon free? Looking into fruittech hardware if I grab a pair of them lol
I think so, not sure why they wouldn’t
Really want new wheels too

I Just bought a pair of fm3s
They are indeed really really stiff, how long did it take for them to break in?

I really find the carbon soul plates sticky in comparison to the VII souls.
How is the fit of the vii plates on the carbons..in size 10? I also find the carbon plates super sticky..

Do you guys have like a catalog or a website?
Hey just wondering if in the near future I could buy a couple helmets and send them to you so u can give them away.
#backtoblading what size did you end up getting?
Isn't alk13 the brand that makes famus wheels?
Anyone in kansas who blade?
Can I add the trinity adapters if I take off the soul plate?
