Wow the emotional roller coaster was real...
I apologize for the short intro, very under the weather this week...
Good Evening Ladies and Gentleman, and Welcome to JJtv. My name is JJ, and I will be your raid leader through this roller coaster ride of Reactions, Reviews, and Late Breaking News.
There are very few things in life one can enjoy for the majority of its length. One thing most of us can agree on is Movies, Series, and Documentaries. I have been an avid movie fan for as long as I can remember, but even I cannot see them all...until now. He wasn’t losing it. If you look at the closeups of the papers on the wall, it includes a line from the voiceover in the script for episode 4, about Darrien. He’s not just obsessing, he’s writing the show. Also, fun fact, in the script for this episode, Donny has a kitchen knife in his jacket pocket when he goes to see Darrien. He was going to stab him.
At the end Donny isn’t going to start stalking the bartender. He is realizing that anyone…even him…could find themselves in the same situation as Martha. He is also noticing that he finds comfort in her complements, just like he was a comfort to her bc he reminded her of the stuffed animal. They are extremely alike, he internalizes his pain and trauma while Martha externalizes hers.
Very well put…in the end he was looking in a mirror the whole time…
Beautifully put i honestly didn't put it together until after watching several reaction this series is a masterpiece I knew it right after the first episode the emotions it brings out is a thing of beauty
@@curtrupp4259 totally agree. It’s an important piece of media that will help people understand theirselves. There is an article that said abuse hotline calls have been up since the show and the callers have stated that the show gave them the courage to call. That is a great thing!! Supporting victims and not glamorizing abuse is what all media should be trying to do.
It's been a good series of reactions, but this one you slightly missed why he acted the way he did. This is a masterpiece in trauma response from all sides. It leads to the most strange decisions but it is people trying to make sense of their abuse and find some control.
100% agree. I was so surprised in the moment what was happening it went over my head.
