Thanks Dan. I will be in Hawaii in 3 weeks. I plan on avoiding sunburns. SpF 30 will be applied every 3 hours or so during the day. I will be ingesting Pina Coladas in the evenings to avoid that dreaded tropical moonburn.
Wow...sounds awesome. We were there ten years ago. Maui. Awesome experience. Too long of a plane flight for me though. Really appreciate your comments.
I was sun intolerant for years, reactions within 15 minutes. Then, I could tolerate reasonable sun exposure (fair skin) after amalgams were removed. Unfortunately, 2 exposures to toxic smoke (painted boards and treated lumber in yard fires) in February lead to sun poisoning this month. Back to avoidance.
I think I have PMLE it’s freaking itching like crazy. I just got back from gulf shores I was exposed to the sun I taught I have sun poisoning I guess not. Thanks
I'm very pale and even though I wear SPF and hats, if I spend not even an hour in the direct sun, particularly when it's high in the sky, I get really exhausted and feel like taking a nap afterward. Makes it really hard to get yard work done. Maybe I'm getting dehydrated? Though it seems to happen even when I don't get hot enough to sweat. Is low UV tolerance a thing, lol? Like maybe I'm oxidative stress impaired haha.
Not sure I can tell you autoimmune issues for example lupus can cause these issues with sun light exposure. See your provider ask for labs lupus workup.
Something similar happens to me, if I'm exposed to the sun, next day I'll get mild flu like symptoms. I have arthritis, and a cousin of mine has lupus, so it might be autoimmune related

Well treatment is really based on severity. If bad send a pic would love to see it.
Docs said I had allergic reaction to sun I had the inchy red bumps
Sorry next to impossible to help you without photos.

@burt591 Very well could be autoimmune. You want an ANA lab test to start and lupus profile.
I can't find your video about the dilemma between Vitamin D vs skin cancer, can you give me a link?
I believe this is the one...ruclips.net/video/rWn7IZp0Y2I/видео.html
