He taught spider man and made a martial arts just for him called the way of the spider. He combines captain America fighting style with Shang chis training during a Time where he lost his spidey sense

As an older cat, I'm glad I was able to not only see Luke Cage and Black Panther get the spotlight but now my man Shang-Chi gets some shine. Now, all I need to see is Namor done right and the Fantastic Four and the X-Men..

The Mandarin is Shang-Chi's Father in this. I'm so HYPED! In the comics Shang-Chi's father is a powerful wizard (super racist, Asian supremacist type) so them switching the two really doesn't affect much. I'm hyped

@@JohnnyZenith Most of the time the answer is no! However, he has complete mastery over his senses and his body. He can also use Chi, but not to the extent of Iron Fist, just enough to enhance his strength, agility, and durability. There was one time he could make clones of himself, but not anymore as that was a result of a special circumstance. So were all the other times he got powers lol. Most of the time he's just a bad ass Martial artist

@@JohnnyZenith Well the rings are actually pieces of Alien technology that the Mandarin (at least in the comics) is in possession of that can all do a variety of things. So basically they're just technology that can give Superhuman abilities to the wearer

@@1kizhun Up till now only the creator of the winter soldier has complained that the money they offered him was insulting and he declined it. Since the creator of Thanos appeared in endgame I think he is okay with what he received otherwise he wouldn't be there. 🤷🏾♀️

The Vibranium I didn’t think about at first. But that’s a great fan theory. Wakanda can track vibrainum through the world. The early plot Screenplay that was leaked was their will be a martial arts tournament comprise of familiar( Wizards, Wakanda’s, Aliens, Former Shield agents) and new beings(Mutants and/or Inhumans, hopefully an Iron Fist) within the MCU
A tournament? Tbh it would’ve been sick to see King T’Challa and Shang Chi duke it out
@@jonathanhill3668 More likely someone like Okoye or the new warrior from the Dora introduced in Falcon and the Winter Soldier. T'Challa won’t come back, due to him passing away sadly. And Shuri will have to be in Wakanda and be a queen.
Marvel actually had a short film about the "Mandarin" from Iron Man 3 being confronted by one of the people under the real Mandarin.
I love how that double kick in the bus is timed perfectly to the drumbeats of the soundtrack!

In the comics The Mandarin acquired the rings from a crashed alien ship belonging to a race of dragon-like beings.

Shang-Chi and Iron Fist are the best Martial Artist in the Marvel Universe. We have never, ever seen fighting this good in the MCU. Right from the jump, you can tell and see, the fighting is on another level, as it should be. Alot of humans don't know about Shang-Chi. Well, they will learn, because this character has been slept on for too long. I cant wait to see this film.🔥🔥🔥Also, the Marvel Netflix shows, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, Cloak and Dagger, Inhumans, Runaways and Helstrom are not MCU cannon or MCU Proper, stated by Kevin Feige. He had nothing to do with those Marvel shows. Recently, Kevin Feige took over Marvel TV, so now he's doing the movies and the tv. The Marvel shows on Disney Plus are the ones that matter. Technically, we have never seen anyone like Shang-Chi in the MCU. Besides, Iron Fist has terrible fight choreography, for a character who is inspired by Bruce Lee. Just wanted to throw that out there. I'm glad Marvel is putting some respect on Shang-Chi. Not only does he join the Avengers, he taught Spider-Man Martial Arts. The Martial Arts style Spider-Man uses is- The Way of the Spider. Shang-Chi was able to beat up Spider-Man, embarrass him, put teach him the ways or real fighting.

No offense to Iron Fist but Shang-Chi is recognized in the Marvel universe as the only mortal who can hold his own against a God.

Yooo fun fact: Shang Chi is the one who, in the comics, ends up teaching Spider-Man the “Way of the Spider” a martial arts designed specifically for Peter taking advantage of his agility and web shooters

This is THE REAL MANDARIN played by the great Tony Leung, Shang-Chi is basically trained since he was a child by the Mandarin to be the greatest living weapon and become his successor, which is why we see how hard he was trained since he was a kid but when the Mandarin lets him out into the real world for 10 years so that he can learn about the world and come back to him instead Shang-Chi gets a whole new view of life by having friends and living a normal life and when he is asked to return he wants to be good and stop his father's "evil" plans etc. Also sidenote, little bit of insider information but the masked person training Shang-Chi and then fighting him ,let's just say the reveal for that person is gonna be pretty wild, I'll leave it at that. Also the rings are the bracelets kinda things on mandarin's wrists, they made them like that in the MCU because with the literal rings it feels like infinity stones and they didn't wanna confuse fans and make something original.
I think that was a proper change as the original ring design concepts didn’t make sense to me, how’d a dragon(origin holders) even wield them if they were that small. At least now we can assume a dragons claw tips could actually fit the rings when they are man arm size, to make more sense of the back story.
I hope he displays his multiplying man powers during the film cause that was the coolest thing I remember shangchi would do I the comics be in 20 places at once , like make copies of him self like Naruto

Yea but that was a side effect of being exposed to cosmic radiation and not something he could do naturally. It was eventually taken away because after years of being a "all natural" super power adding something like that to him felt unnatural.

I'm so freaking hyped for this movie. Deathdealer looks sick, can't wait to see Omega Red. Tony Leung Chiu-wai is a beast can't wait to see him as the Mandarin. I highly recommend "The Grandmaster" if you wanna see him in action.

In the MCU, the Ten Rings was a legend, co-opted by various terrorist and criminal organizations, because it's not like the real Mandarin would sue for infringement. The copycats might even be a welcome distraction, or even unorganized distant affiliates, like the ones in Golmira in Iron Man, like how Ghengis Khan converted tribes across Asia to work for his empire, or else die.

BTW in the comics they are actual rings on the mandarin's (guy in the chair) fingers but i believe in this its bracelets 5 on each arm.ALSO shang chi is the mandarin's biological son....just a heads up.

I was wondering what The Mandarin had to do with Shang Chi, so I looked it up on wikipedia, I didn't see any mention of the Mandarin, so I looked him up aswell and realised, "oh shit yea, 10 Rings which he uses for his powers, DUUHH", and then i saw the picture of the "villain" in Shang chi's movie, and realised "Oh shit, that's the Mandarin" 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️😒😂

Like Raven, I was disappointed with the version of the Mandarin we got in Iron Man 3. They took one of Tony Stark’s best rivals from the comics and made him a joke. I’m excited that history is being righted and we will get to see the character portrayed in a serious light.
The teaser looks dope. They showed us glimpses of Razor Fist and Death Dealer. If they give us a Fin Fang Foom mention or tease for a future appearance, I will lose my mind. 🤯 As always, great reaction and banter. This movie is right in Raven’s wheelhouse. Geek Sensei will be geeked on September 3rd.

11:07 The ten rings ARE the rings you saw on Wenwu's forearms. There are a couple of interviews on RUclips with the starts of the movie, I can't remember which one but they talked about reinventing the Shang-Chi since his origin is problematic with all the racial stereotypes, so this story is a new origin story. The ten rings, as they were seen in the comics aren't going to appear. They've decided to go with something more influenced by Chinese martial arts, iron rings--you can see them used in Kung Fu Hustle.
With Vabranium coming out of Wakanda and the MCU know having access to the Mutants and everything connected to them, why no introduce Adamantium now?

Shang-Chi makes Iron Fist look like trash. Don’t get me wrong I liked Iron Fist in Season two but that show had a lot of problems. This on the other hand looks really good and I can’t wait to see it on the big screen
Fu Manchu was Shang-Chi's father in the comics. But Marvel don't have the rights for it so they reworked it to be the Mandarin instead.
