      I think the designers design their phone from bottom to up. for eg : they design edge 40 and then add something over it to make the pro version.

      At this price, you expect a Pixel or Samsung S series level camera or at least cameras to be as good as iPhone 11's. otherwise in India, We have the same offering from Indian Brand LAVA at Half price 240 USD (120hz curved Oled, Glass Back, Clean, and Stock Android 13, 2 years of OS Updates, MTK 7050, and also a trashy 50 MP camera as MOTO has offered, but 1-year pick and drop and full phone replacement service). To all those considering buying this phone, here are some facts:
    1. The predecessor to this phone (series edge 30) called the edge 30 ultra was also touted as a camera centric phone. It failed miserably. They released an update several months after its release but it still has not rectified the autofocus issues and several other processing issues. The camera is terrible.
    2. The pure stock android OS experience is only half true. On the edge 30 ultra, several bugs render the phone quite frustrating to use. Bugs such as the autobrightness being erratic, ready for features not working as expected, and several other issues reported by users. No update has been received as of yet to cater for these issues till date. Read the Motorola forum on this phone to see how users are disappointed with all these issues.
    3. The edge 30 ultra released near to the end of 2022 is still believe it or not stuck on android 12. Security patches themselves have been delayed consecutively.
    4. The customer care or support is the worst or even non existent department at an organization I have ever seen. They don't have any answers. They cannot help. For whatever issue you have. They may respond, but sorry is all they have to say.
    5. No original accessories are available for the edge 30 ultra. A simple thing like a charger is not available even on their website or on e-commerce platforms. The phone claims to have 50 watt charging, but there is no charger to support this. Wireless chargers from other brands do not hit the required speeds of charging even if they are rated 50 watt.
    6. Though motorola claimed HDR content is supported on netflix, it is not so. They either were not able to get certified from netflix or were not bothered to.
    My advice for someone who wants to invest in a flagship phone, is that you should put your money with a brand that has good customer support. Without it, your flagship will start to feel like a mid budget range device.
    Specs and what you see on advertisements do not tell the whole truth. Don't fall for the marketing hype, because that is one thing Motorola is very good at

    • @madhusudantiwari3232
      @madhusudantiwari3232 Год назад +2

      What brand would you recommend then ? I seriously need some answers i am fed up of brands offering fake promises.

    • @rahulsashi6711
      @rahulsashi6711 Год назад +3

      @@madhusudantiwari3232 at around 800 dollars or more, Motorola provides amazing specifications. But their customer support and software update policy is more like a scam than anything else. So I suggest you look at brands like Samsung and OnePlus for better support and peace of mind.
      Keep in mind that these brands also have bad smartphones. So read and research USER reviews before making a purchase. If possible even try using the device if someone else has it before doing so.

    I bought the phone blindly from a phone company, without knowing anything about it, and personally, I think that the camera mostly the native camera app is crap, it works super bad, it is limited, it has no adjustment options, it has a lot of noise grain, and it looks blurry, before taking the photo (in the preview), and after taking the photo it improves since it does all its processing, but it looks pasty, without much detail (which I would expect that it did for the 600USD it cost), and with a lot of sharpening effect, not very realistic really. I compared it to the iPhone 6S camera and it was actually much better in my opinion, taking a much more realistic image, true to life in my opinion, with much more balanced lighting and contrast overall compared to what I was seeing with my own eyes. I'm talking in a low light situation (before and after taking the light off and fully lit shot) where the room was turned off and I was pointing the camera at both of my gaming monitors. the iPhone 6S won the test. the Edge 40's native camera in HDR mode off looked noisy and its flaws were glaring. with HDR mode on the change/enhancement was almost non-existent.
    I find myself feeling really sad, because I came from an iPhone 4/Galaxy A10/A20S, and I was impressed that the preview was so bad (as in my A20S being the last phone), the camera app, and that it does not let you record to 1080p60 from it. Although I tried the Google Camera it improved but it looks much darker or contrasted and it looks super slow when aiming the camera. it does not convince me. I expected more from the phone.
    Well, the phone itself is not bad, it feels good, although I don't like that it is so long, it is less wide than the Galaxy A20S, millimeters or 1cm less tall than the A20S, since its plastic OLED screen is exquisite, the charger It comes included along with its cable with USB-C on both sides, the truth is quite fast, it hasn't stuck, I can open and download whatever I want without problems, and so on. The bad thing is that it is in 4G+ and the 5G network has not yet been activated and I also do not receive text messages for example when I request a code for an app because it is impossible to obtain it.
    I liked the phone, it's mostly pure Android, I installed more of the Google app, and what I didn't like and found lousy was the camera. i see the final front video test and confirms it. my 6S looks better.
    pd: sorry if something is understandable, i'm latin spanish girl. i used the google translator to write and fix the message i wanted to give. thank you.

      Hi! Could you please elaborate on that? Edge 40 has better processor (something most people mention) which supposedly tends to overheat (not a dealbreaker for me unless it causes performance issues). Edge 40 Neo has somewhat inferior CPU, but more RAM and bigger battery which doesn't seem to deliver more work hours. Still struggling which one to choose.
