Now i am working with activity regarding greenhouse, I would like to ask if there is a way which i could get a film wall? like transparent wall just like with most greenhouse has. Hi, thanks for your videos! I have a question: How can I create a Concrete encased steel column in AutoCAD Architecture? Besides that, can I obtain the Materials quantities (steel and concrete= also? Thanks in advance!
Even though AutoCAD Architecture is capable of doing H and I steel columns and beams, I don't think it has an automated or efficient way of doing the actual rebars and calculating quantities for those. I'm sure you could probably use mass elements or some semblance of structural elements, and creating a schedule on those. AutoCAD Architecture is mainly geared towards architectural design, and not structural design. I think Autodesk Advanced Steel (which is also an AutoCAD based software) might be a better option for this sort of thing. You can design the steel portion in Advanced Steel, and bring that into ACA.
Hey Edward, great video here. I'm facing a little problem moving my capital and base along the shaft. I keep getting a msg saying "1 or more surfaces are associated with the defining curve"
Hi Edward!!! Greetings from Greece. I would like to ask you, if there is a way to make a custom column, but to be able to change it's dimensions like we do with walls (with grips). For example to insert a rectangular column and with the grips to be able to adjust the shape to the desireble one.
If I'm understanding you clearly, I don't think that's possible. That shape (profile) of the column is controlled by the column style. If you want a different shape, you'll have to pick from the style browser or create a new column style. The height of the column can be changed from the properties pallet. This video might help. You can create a model template that contains all of your custom styles. You would use that template to create new projects.
