    I decided I am going to use OnX for the reasons you mentioned. When I rode mtb, I used trail forks and it saved me a from getting lost or taking the wrong turn numerous times. When the sun is going down, it's cold outside, and your out of gas needing to get back to the car, a reliable trail gps comes in clutch.

    Y’all need to hit up Red Bird in the late Spring or early early Fall. That’s when the trails are premo. Looks like you’ve mainly been in Winter.

    Redbird looks like fun! Im trying to hop back on after 30yrs. Buffalo Mtn in HMT humbled me, recently. My memory had me thinkin i was a much better rider than actual, lol. Got alot of practicing to do at Eagle Creek HS before i tackle Redbird or back to HMT.

      I'm about an hour west of you and often looking for someone to ride red bird with as it's too far off a trip to go down there on the hopes of catching someone at the trail heads to tag along with. I've made the trip and rode by myself but it's better not to.

    In the firearm content creator world they have a awards ceremony called Gundies with different catagories fans vote on. Y'all would get best couple, if they had one for dirt bikes.

    Love your videos. I'm up north in Michigan and mostly ride sand or decent loam with a bit of clay. Do you guys run gummy tires or something else down there?

    • @HardEnduroAppalachia
      @HardEnduroAppalachia  8 месяцев назад

      Posted my tire combo in the description for this ride. They last awhile and still get great traction. My go-to would be the IRC Jx8 or Kenda Knarly but they will wear quick. Really appreciate you watching! 👊🏻

    Great Video ! I’ve never rode Redbird but planning a trip soon. Is your camping spot a secret or one that can be shared ? Thanks

    • @HardEnduroAppalachia
      @HardEnduroAppalachia  Месяц назад +1

      @EnduroTrails71 I prefer camping back by Sugarcreek trailhead. It's the most central location and quiet. Peabody campground will be most convenient but there's a road that runs next to it. Enjoy !

    What tire combo do you two prefer for this terrain?

    • @HardEnduroAppalachia
      @HardEnduroAppalachia  6 месяцев назад +1

      Have the tires we ran linked in description 👍🏻 equally important is a very soft bib, or tubliss combo with low pressure in rear. 3-4lb.

    • @sarahdell4042
      @sarahdell4042 6 месяцев назад

      @@HardEnduroAppalachia I’ve never ran bibs and have poor luck with tubliss. So I’ve stuck with tubes. Some of the places I ride requires using double track which means high speeds. I’ve ridden a bike with soft bibs on double track and thought I was going to die haha. Very unpredictable feeling but I suppose you get used to how soft things are?
      I’ve never ridden the far tire either. Does it make life miserable in ruts like people claim? Do you need to adjust the forks for how much taller the tire is?
      Thanks!

    • @HardEnduroAppalachia
      @HardEnduroAppalachia  6 месяцев назад +1

      @sarahdell4042 I use the platinum bib in the front 10-12 psi and never felt a difference between tubes. I've had so many flats racing, smashing through rocks at high speed I was over it. I'll never go back to tubes personally. In the rear I have a tubliss system with a drilled out bib on top. I'll have to make a video for my channel to show. Fat tires can pull in ruts, but they sure are nice over roots and off cambers in trail. No adjustment needed on front forks. Personally, we focus on being able to ride in the stuff that's hard. High speed 2 track performance is the least of my concern. I want to be able to get traction when most don't. I prefer a setup that shines when the going gets tough. There's a setup for every type of riding, not a one setup does it all. Hope that helps !

      @@HardEnduroAppalachia I do similar riding with less skill!
