Dear Family and Friends,
'World Children’s Day (also known as Universal Children’s Day or International Children’s Day) is celebrated on 20 November and is UNICEF’s global day of action for children, by children.
It’s a fun day with a serious message, with 20 November marking the anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of the Rights of the Child in 1959, and the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
The most widely ratified international human rights treaty in history, the Convention sets out the rights of children, such as the right to healthcare, education, clean water, protection from violence - and the right to have their say in decisions that affect them.'
I will be busy with our SDA Darwin Church Children's Day Program on the 20th and so instead, since I have some song choices that I didn't get to last Sunday, I will go 'live' again to mark this special day on Sunday 21st November.
This will be another celebration for children- both young and old So please join me and sing along. I'll be taking more requests as well, so choose your songs- action songs, choruses, folk songs, nursery rhymes... whatever you and your little one want to sing... and we shall celebrate together once more!
