Robin on no way a regular guy. He was so special, not just his voice, but his caring nature. his sense of humor. Not to mention he was gorgeous and sexy I will always love and miss Robin. I love this song.
What made his voice so unique in my opinion was the emotion and vulnerability that came through in his singing. He once said in an interview THAT WHENEVER HE SANG A SONG ....HE ALWAYS SANG FROM HIS HEART. and you can hear that in all of his songs.
I seen a video where at the end of this song the audience sang the last part of the song. It was very emotional for him and he had the biggest smile on his face. He so deserved it.

Thank you Chad. This is a very fun Robin song from the 80's. His voice is strong and this is a song you could be humming the rest of the night. The crowd at this outdoor amphitheater was enormous and actively engaged. It is clear how much the Bee Gees were loved in Germany. Yesterday you did the live performance of "House of Shame" from the 1989 "One For All" tour. Robin sang Juliet in the same concert. It was filmed for a DVD so the sound quality is a little better. Still, I love watching the Berlin crowd.
"Juliet" is one of the tracks on a solo album (Robin's second...) titled "How Old Are You?", released in 1983 - and "Juliet" was also released as a single, back in the day. This song came out in 1983 on the album "How Old Are You" . Robin continued to produce solo albums, saying he was just a Bee Gee making music. Robin was more serious, but had that emotional vibrato that spoke to the world. Robin had said it was like one soul in 3 bodies. There will never be another group like them. @@Zlata1313 - Just re-watching one of my favorite songs. His home, the Prebendal, is also well worth a look as you no doubt know. He did several tours. Loved history. He always said artists create their own reality. That was his own fairy castle fulfilling his romantic notion of a bygone age, living the life of a country squire, something he could never have imagined growing up so poor.
Nothing wrong with doing the studio recording if there isn’t a decent video. When a lot of us heard all these old songs for the first time it was on the radio.
What made his voice so unique was the seductiveness, the ability to pull you into the song. His voice was so sexy singing those love songs that he would seduce the woman listening & almost bring her to orgasm! Nobody can sing a love song like Robin Gibb nor will there ever be another. Nobody will ever match The Bee Gees three part harmony or their ability to write songs. People have tried to compare them to the Beatles, PLEASE, they blow the Beatles away, no offense intended to the Beatles. I liked the Beatles, but as a group they were only together a few years & then look at how many years The Bee Gees we’re together recording hit after hit not only for themselves but for other artists too. They would still be together doing that today if Robin & Maurice were here and would probably include Andy if he were still here too. The Bee Gees were, are & probably always will be the Greatest Group of All Time. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Hey Chad, came across your channel while listening to SRV, I'm a huge fan. I really enjoyed listening to your reactions. I thought I would make a suggestion to another blues band. Robyn's 80s solo albums were very poppy and Top 40-ish sounding, so while they are fun to listen to many of the songs are dated and don't really have lasting legs. However there are a handful of classic everlasting songs sprinkled amongst them that really deserve a listen and would hold up well after all this time. Really great albums for the time they came out and deserved more attention then they got.
Chad, you missed reacting to a better live performance of this song. It was in Germany, wiyh better audio, he's a bit older, and the crowd reaction was fantastic! They loved it and him and sang it back to him as sort of encore to his performance of the song. He was greatly moved and it was touching to see how the audience loved him. I'll send you the link if I can find it.
You're right, this isn't the best audio. Had you chosen the 'One for all' tour version you'd had a better experience. Anyway, it is a great song. Robin's solo album 'How old are you' is a great album and has many awsome songs on there.
The live versions of Juliet are SOOOOO much better than the studio version - mainly Robin's vocals on the studio version are ridiculously and painfully high. And yes, the backup singers they had on that tour had crazy dance moves!

I just discovered your channel you are amazing. I have been a die hard Bee Gees fan since their first song. You have a wonderful personality and I thank you so much.
Watch the original video. Romantically filmed at Robin's 1000 year old former monastery. Great time travel clip and story.
The house in the video isn't the Prebendle in Tames.
@@susieq9801 yes, have seen the videos of him showing interviewers around.
"Paul Butterfield Blues Band (Walking blues - Live 1978) Butterfield blues is one of the first bands to infuse-Blues, Rock and Jazz that was followed by the british invasion bands. Definitely worth a listen! and He's one of the Best Harmonica Players to have ever lived
Linda voz! Linda música!
juliet is a song by robin gibb as a solo artist. 1983 album called "how old are you" its track one.
And if you want to hear Robin's falsetto, try listening to "Living Together". It's marvelous!
Here you go, it's really a special moment between him and the audience: ruclips.net/video/JojZ6nZb6_A/видео.html
I wondered if you did this reaction ❤️ his original video to this song has a higher pitch to his voice. Robin is my favorite 🥰🥰
It is from a solo album in 1983 ("How old are you"?).

You're right, this isn't the best audio. Had you chosen the 'One for all' tour version you'd had a better experience. Anyway, it is a great song. Robin's solo album 'How old are you' is a great album and has many awsome songs on there.
Very good!! REACT LIVE OR DIE BEE GEES...
It's from 1983 Chad and did well on European charts. Link for the official video

You felt this colonial vibe, check the original video clip for this song then haha.

Please react to 'Kathys gone by Robin, from the How old are you CD!!
robin was a songbird
👍
I do have some trouble hearing the audio at times too!
The live versions of Juliet are SOOOOO much better than the studio version - mainly Robin's vocals on the studio version are ridiculously and painfully high. And yes, the backup singers they had on that tour had crazy dance moves!
Estou no Brasil não entendo em inglês??
