Fantastic to see this! We are really excited to see where you take this - get in touch with any help you need whatsoever. Thanks for joining up to FUZE Arena too! Let's see where it goes!
Great spot Hai! I didn't show it off last night, but there are around 10-12 themes you can use and one was C64 and there is a Spectrum one, complete with rainbow colour logo in the bottom corner. I'll show them off in a future video :)
Very cool!! This will definitely give you unlimited hours of fun! It seems a little overwhelming for me since I haven't done coding in 15hrs but I may give this the old college try. Make an EDF like game if possible!! I'd like to take out some space bugs on the go! Great job Paul keep up the good work 👍
I want to make a game called star world its like you dress your own characters get a dog or cat and when you do pet taskes you get stars and you can get a house
Not exactly no. There is a stand-alone app called the Fuze Player and created apps can get added to that by the team, but no, you cannot make a publishable game. When you make something it is assigned a code you can share with others and it will download so they can play it. The community is very good and worth getting involved with.
I've moved onto a different language on the Mac now Karen, but keep your eye on the official Fuze Arena channel as they are starting to post some workshops for learning Fuze!
Yea absolutely fine. Wouldn’t be on the store if Nintendo didn’t allow it and you can’t sell any of the games, they are ring fenced to other Fuze users.
Nope, absolutely no way to do that - and its not really the MO of Fuze. There should be a 'player' App coming at some point that will let you share games with people that dont own Fuze.
Hi switched on gaming I want to created a 3ds version of ocarina of time for the Nintendo switch version so I can just show the Nintendo company it is possible for them to do the legend of zelda anniversary so their will be no bullshit
i made a diy vr headset and i already put my switch in it so when i heard about it i had to cause destruction like making a even bigger hole in the headset and getting the tape off permantly to get my switch out and get fuze4 but when i went to get it it was 25 DOLLARS and i had only 1.62 POINTS
So how do we get a game on the eshop Because if these shovelware sovers Can make some cash i might as well try too (Im jokeing but seriously someone just brought a project and got it on the eshop like how do i do that)
So are these games you make literally on the Switch? I mean, I would prefer to use a windows based program that I can use a keyboard to code and then export to Switch if that is how I interpreted this program.
Yea, the IDE is all based on the Switch completely. You can plug a keyboard in to code, which works great. The games can only be run on Switch though and shared with either other Fuze users or played in the "Fuze Player" app that can be downloaded from the eshop if people dont want the coding suite.
1) You prob. can't 2) Fuze4 and SB4 are completly different proggraming languages. Fuze is maybe better for making "high performance" games aka. game at 75fps but it's really messy. Smile Basic 4 is very simple with pretty cool stuff, like a GB emulator that someone is making (runs smooth) but is isn't as "high performance" as FUZE instead of like 75fps it would go like 60ps, I recomend SB4 tbh fuze looks messy and the 15fps of extra performance is not worth it, you could better optimize a little on SB4 that could boost the fps to like 85fps or so... (fps counts are inacurate.... they are just an example, performance is variable in every program.)
There is a Fuze Player now that lets you play a selection of games for free. you can also share your games with other Fuze users too, its quite a decent community!
SwitchedOn I’ve now downloaded it so we’ll see 😀😀 it looks amazing. Looking forward to finishing an old Basic game I tried programming on ZX and had to abandon due to slowdown (about 25 years ago....). Also a Dizzy game if I can work the mechanics out! Should have me busy for years 💪🏻
@@AndyG85 Awesome! Good work Geoff :) Come join the Fuze discord too, loads of helpful friendly peeps :) I'm sure you know, but there a re tonne of free Dizzy assets in the asset library, so you should be totally sorted there!
Well my guy I've got this game too! Glad to see this app is getting into RUclips!
Fantastic to see this! We are really excited to see where you take this - get in touch with any help you need whatsoever.
Thanks for joining up to FUZE Arena too! Let's see where it goes!
Thanks guys!! Looking forward to it :)
Can you reproduce a made game and sell for profit?
is this free to use
No it’s not. It had a massive price front though a few months back down to 15 from 35
Looks great. Great UI
Showed my kids this yesterday and I’ve had nothing but “when are we getting Fuze4” constantly since i showed them. Cant wait for the next episode.
Ha, well I hope they get into it and are interested in trying to make their own games :)
Programming at an early age is pretty good, it teaches problem solving and is also just generally good for the brain :)
Great video. Look forward to seeing more of this series. Kinda got me hyped to try my hand at programming simple games again
Do it!!
Looks awsome, I like the Commodore 64 colours in the menu. Looking forward to see what you make out of it!

This series is a BRILLIANT idea.
Thanks Leigh - one for your boys to check out?
SwitchedOn Absolutely

This game seems extremely interesting, being able to make my own game is absolutely amazing!
Update: yeah no idea how to do anything on fuze lol
Fuze videos? ..subscribed!!!!
Thank you!
Glad you reviewed this bc too detailed for me peabrain Paul!
What coding language does FUZE4 use?
I’m so mad that I didn’t see this at launch!
looks nice but will it allow me to make a computer game a switch game?
Well, this is interesting. Will check it out.
I get the error invalid argument #2 to 'random' (interval is empty). What do i do
My guy good job
Fun fact: the binary numbers on the Code menu button spell out FUZE when translated into text. funny lil thing i found
I always wanted to make a Nintendo switch game
I want to make a game called star world its like you dress your own characters get a dog or cat and when you do pet taskes you get stars and you can get a house
Dizzy was primarily on ZX Spectrum, not Commodore 64!
Wow, this looks interesting
Cool, thanks Col!
I have a question- if you make a game here can you publish it to the nintendo e-shop?
Not exactly no. There is a stand-alone app called the Fuze Player and created apps can get added to that by the team, but no, you cannot make a publishable game. When you make something it is assigned a code you can share with others and it will download so they can play it. The community is very good and worth getting involved with.
do i get the cartredges thats all i want
can you please post more tutorial on switch coding?

Can u download the games u make on the eshop
Can you put your own music?
I SUBBED. of course
If I had any imagination at all I would be all over this
I would love to try on my switch! Let me know if I can help!
Does Nintendo allow this? Would you lose your Nintendo online or account if you do?

You can’t put the games on the eshop only share via the Fuze Player App - or the Fuze community via discord and the Fuze forum.
You have to program a real game first.
Im interested
Yay! Thanks Westley :)
Is it for sell
OOOOOOOOOH!

Can you upload spritesheets and models from your PC?
Also, what is the difference with the soon to be released smilebasic4?

It's times like this I wish I'd stayed single
Well, at least the Switch is portable and can sneak in some coding here and there?
