@@Firespark81 yes mod support for PC’s consoles as well as crossplay between PC, PS5 and Xbox I’m guessing it will be a built in storefront modders can upload their creations to and they will be optimized for console play similarly to the mods collection from DOS: 2 that came with the enhanced edition, only more evolved.
Wait for real the mods are coming to console? I’m on Xbox and I desperately want the mod that gets rid of partial-ilithid visual changes

Mods are great but I wish they would restore the cut content such as fixing Act 3 and giving us back the upper city of Baldur’s Gate. 🧡
We need a level editor. Imagine making classics like the Temple of Elemental Evil or the Tomb of Horrors in BG3.
This is what I want the most. Anything else would just be the cherry on top.

Following you a long time Firespark! So happy you do BG3 content as Post BG3 release makes games like Conan Exiles feel so half baked. BG3 is really treated with love and care for the fanbase. I've been looking forward to use mods but I wanted to wait for Patch 7 official support. Gonnah like your guides I know you will make for Mods as well as Builds etc.
Definitely going to get mods that are basically dlc though they will take time. However I'm all for it

Lets cool down a bit and see how flexible the API on the official tools are going to be.
My crystal ball says script extender, manual file changes will still be necessary for very advanced mods.
Pretty sure their not going to let you drop reverseshell.exe into the mod folder and have the game trigger it.
But at least we get a official and maybe extended API? From what I seen was used from the early days was mostly pulled from cheat engine :D
Oh boy i waited so long for the steam modding options. I am one of the few, that has the superpower to mess up even a modmanager. So please Larian, give me steammods to only install and it´s working.
I don't have trouble with mod managers, but steam is super convenient when available.

I don't care about cross play, multi player, or photo mode. I've had photo mode on several games and have used the option a few times and prefer single player. I'm excited about the mods though. I wish Larian could buy WOTC and keep making D&D games.

I'm looking forward to mods for PS5 - I don't have space at home for a separate gaming PC (I only have a laptop) and I'm jealous of all the cool mods I've seen online!
My laptop runs baldurs gate smoothly on consistent 60fps , 1050ti nvdia too not even the best graphic cards maybe you can finesse too
Game is extremely optimized especially as patches fixed later acts too

steam workshop is worse than nexus or any outside modding site + mod manager though, only ever use the workshop if I am forced to use it.
Modding tools doesn't mean you won't have to dl prerequisite stuff, though there should be less.
Modding support is mostly to help modders by making modding easier/simpler and allowing stuff thought to hard to mod earlier. And allow consoles to possibly have access to mods, usually much less than pc modding though, due to missing the prerequisite stuff which is outside the official modding support.
This will be just like Skyrim; One set of mods that are supported/created with official tools (Creation club), but will be very limited and "stale". And one set of mods that is created with un-official tools and will not be supported by the devs, due to licenses and the "volatile" level of mod-integrations (Script Extender)
Larian is not like Bethesda.

Maybe the playtesters they're using are the amateur modding version of Sweet Baby Inc helping them develop modding tools that will ensure diversity and inclusion so there are no more problematic male Nocturne or white Wyll mods. (Which would suck)

@@draw2death421I see what you are saying. But I don’t think we need to worry about BG3 banning inclusive mods when you can already romance any member of your party and there are LGBTQ NPCs in the base game.
@@Living_Life242 i dont worry about them banning those. I used it as an example. I am worried about them banning other things that can be seen as even slightly controversial.
