You are my hero! I bought the insane shaft front axles for my 01 RD1 that is slightly lifted thinking that 500 hp rated axles have got to be the answer to my axle vibration on take off... nope. Watched this video and bought the new Napa front axles which are about an inch or more longer than the insane shafts. Installed... problem fixed! I wish I would have seen this sooner. Thank you so much man, I appreciate what you do!
Thanks man glad to hear that my video helped you, and thank you for letting me know about the Insane axles those were the only ones that I have not used.
Extremely helpful I got the 1inch spacer In the front and 2 in the rear, I replaced all my motor mounts and torque mounts as well as the passenger front axle and it wobbles still, not as bad as it used to when I first bought it but definitely still annoying having that wobble
I had this same issue and I ended up fixing it with a new steering rack my rack had so much play that it caused there wobbles. I would just check and replace your suspension if it is needed
This was great info: my 97 auto awd with aerogenics 1" front and 2" rear lift spacer on monroe quickstruts, aerogenics 1" engine and subframe drop , aerogenics 1" trailing arm spacers, new torque mounts, truhart front upper control arm and rear camber arm and new NAPA axle driver side, I have a wobble at 20 mph and intermittent clicking... i really want to figure this out. Some folks I've asked just said they just learned to deal with it.
Depending on what wheels you use, and if you do use wheel spacers, you definitely want to make sure you have hub centric spacers or Hub Centric rings. That could definitely cause a wobble I'm not sure about the clicking though that sounds like a bad axle maybe want to check your axles again I've had some go bad very quick or even got some bad ones right out of the box.
1" lift spacer installed a few years ago, no wobble. New axles (O'Reilly's), no wobble. New struts, wobble under acceleration now. Did the subframe drop, wobble got worse.
That's pretty interesting if it's not something that may be a defect in the struts you got causing it the only other thing I could think of off of my head is I had a set of O'Reilly's axles also and they did not last very long about a year or year and a half if I can remember if that they started the wobble and have issues then I returned them for warranty had the same issues within like a month it kept happening with returns and then I finally just went with the Napa remanufactured axles and never had a problem again
I'm not sure what causes it I always did have a very slight wobble around that same speed not too bad honestly just got used to it but nothing like as bad as it used to be before I did everything that I did.
Well it sounds like you definitely got quite a few problems there! The wheel wobble could be a bent wheel or an out of balance wheel or possibly the tread on the tire could be warped. It can also be deeper than that where it could be the wheel bearing going bad or other possible suspension issues the brake holding is definitely probably a sticking brake caliper or pin. Also as for as the overheating there's a number of issues that happen with these I would say go watch my overheating video that should help a little.
Hey sorry to hear that man it definitely sounds like it has a major issue somewhere or either completely bad motor mounts all the way around or something loosen the suspension that would be causing it to do that it's very hard to know without actually being able to look at it though
I think the difference between like vehicles has to do with the lack of a solid frame. Just a guess but I would bet heavy on that if I were a betting man.
I Love the videos, Tom, All the videos on lifting are super helpful. The question I have is I have a 04 CRV and I'm lifting it 1 inch in the front and 1.5 inches in the rear, I will also be running stock tires 205/70/r15, do you think I will be running into any issues since I will be running stock tires? As always thanks for all the help!
As long as everything is good and proper shape in your suspension you should have no issues and be good to go that's a mild lift so you won't have to worry about stressing the the suspension components much.
I have heard of people doing that but in the long run it still didn't help but I have not done that myself so I'm not 100% sure but the Napa axles have done great now.
Not sure about that one man when I went to the store they just had the ones for my year and only one option for the all wheel drive models Other than remanufactured ones but I went with brand new.
Where you able to figure the issue out ? You think I will have a wobble on the aerogenics 2 inch in the rear and 1 inch In the front with 235 75 15 tires ?
Yes you should be fine and not have much of an issue just make sure you replace your torque mounts but with a 1" lift it should not cause actual issues in the front
With a 1” engine and subframe drop do I need the steering shaft extension? My aero genius kit didn’t come with one, didn’t wanna install and end up not being able to drive the rd1, any info would help!
Napa remanufacture Axles in good torque mounts were the best bet at the time. But I believe in Napa. It's not actually manufacturing the access. And how somewhat in people are having some issues with them.

Hey my man do you by chance have the exact part number for the Napa axles you bought? I’m having the same problems
Zeshawn Khan Mine is a M/T, part #’s are L. Side: NMD 946040, R Side: NMD 946051, happy vibration free driving!
Extremely helpful

i couldn't explain this, but im proud of you ;)
Thanks baby😘😘
Stock ride height, got all new front suspension, torque mounts, and napa axles and wobble is bad 15-30 mph.
I'm not sure what causes it I always did have a very slight wobble around that same speed not too bad honestly just got used to it but nothing like as bad as it used to be before I did everything that I did.
99 Honda CR-V AWD front passenger wheel wobbling and brake holding and overheating, any advice?

I have a bone stock crv and keep blowing the passenger axle in like 2 minutes I’m 2 warranties deep right now, in dire need of some help

@@crv_tom you have been helping a ton through Instagram I appreciate it

Could be.

@@crv_tom Thanks for the quick response! You are the lift master for these CRV's! haha
Take a look into K series axles. since they are 36mm too. Rsx and Fa5 Sedan civic Si axles.
I have heard of people doing that but in the long run it still didn't help but I have not done that myself so I'm not 100% sure but the Napa axles have done great now.
Also which Napa axles? When you look them up there’s like 10 different sizes.
Not sure about that one man when I went to the store they just had the ones for my year and only one option for the all wheel drive models Other than remanufactured ones but I went with brand new.
CRV_TOM ok thanks. I’ll look into it
Could it be a issue with the rims possibly not being hub centric with the hub on the crv ?
Know the wheels balanced out fine and I have hub centric spacers on there so no issues from that this was all coming from the angle of the axles
CRV_TOM ok awesome happy to hear you figured it out bro

Yes you should be fine and not have much of an issue just make sure you replace your torque mounts but with a 1" lift it should not cause actual issues in the front
As far as the wobble yes we did get it figured out with Napa axles and the 1.5' sub frame drop it has been eliminated and made a huge difference
CRV_TOM ok thank you I was wondering because I’m in the process of doing mine and I wanted to know before I get to that point to be sure
CRV_TOM what is the lift on yours to the reason to had to do the sub frame drop ?
It's the 4' HRG kit.
whats the update on this? did it stop wobbling?
Yep no more wobble would Napa remanufactured axles and a subframe drop and good torque mounts
Do u know if anyone has tried the Hrg insane shafts?
That is a good question but as far as I know I don't I think Ben with HRG is gonna give them a try.
With a 1” engine and subframe drop do I need the steering shaft extension? My aero genius kit didn’t come with one, didn’t wanna install and end up not being able to drive the rd1, any info would help!
Many have gotten away without it but I always recommend it so that your not Stressing the oem one to the Max.
@@crv_tom thanks brotha!
I got the death wobble when I had the Autozone axle in the passenger side and it popped out from the boot once.
Yeah no good at all.
update?

just sent you a dm on instagram, thank you for these!
