      Thanks for that! Appreciate it. Yeah I try to keep them to the point as much as possible otherwise I just go on and on and end up repeating myself 😂 glad that you are enjoying them though and thanks for taking the time to comment! 👍

    Great introduction. Mine is the cheaper Borough basket though, but enough for me for groceries and commuting.

      Thanks! Yeah that bag is great too. It’s difficult to choose sometimes as there are so many! 😀👍

    Useful bit of kit. A lot of Brompton owners say that the extra weight over the front wheel really improves the bikes handling and feel.

    • @CycleEveryday
      @CycleEveryday  4 года назад +1

      They are pretty great. Can’t say I felt it improved the handling much. I do notice that the back can spin out more on steep hills or slippery surfaces though. Not a major issue. Definitely better having the weight on the bike though!

      Yeah they have loads which is great for different needs. This one is great for everyday things and always take it with me. Thanks and a happy new year to you as well! 👍

    Thanks for video. I'm still trying to work out how you close it when it's fully loaded and the top can't be rolled down.. The side straps look like they only work if the top is fully rolled down.

    Thanks for the video. But I wouldn't recommend buying from Amazon: these Brompton bags are usually a lot more expensive there. This bag costs £130 direct from Brompton and most other cycle shops, £35 less than the Amazon price!

    • @CycleEveryday
      @CycleEveryday  3 года назад

      Yes you are right about the price difference. However at the time Brompton had no stock and although it is a bit more expensive, there was not much choice really. Luckily the availability has improved a lot since then on the Brompton website 👍

      Really happy with the bags by Brompton, so which ever one you choose is likely to last well. Think the main reason I chose this one is because I wanted the biggest one just in case I needed the space. Glad I did as comes in really handy for shopping and the commute as well.

      Thats great to hear Julie! Hope you enjoy it as much as us! I see quite a few on the way into and around Birmingham. Also see quite a few in Stourbridge in the coffee shops on a weekend if the sun is out :)

    Great video as always. Are you planning a video on what to wear for winter weather? I did a ride on Friday with my summer gloves and had to stop and buy some winter insulated ones which were great. I really thought that as I took my summer ones off I'd leave a finger or two in them.

    • @CycleEveryday
      @CycleEveryday  4 года назад

      Thanks Mark. Yeah I think that’s a great idea for winter coming soon. Strange kind of weather at the moment. Dressed for winter in the morning and then like summer in the afternoon! Just brought some glove myself but nothing too expensive. Interested to see how they go though

    • @markjakeway2035

      @@CycleEveryday I was annoyed with myself as I bought some winter cycling gloves from Aldi a week or so ago for about £7. But of course it didn't seem that cold when I set out so hadn't taken them. It was about 8C so I've learnt that that is enough to really chill, rather freeze, your fingers when cycling. So I found a cycle shop but they were £28. But I have to say they were excellent. When my fingers were so cold and aching I would have paid more than that, still have two now.

    • @CycleEveryday

      I know what you mean. At the moment just using my thermal wooly gloves, but when it starts raining thats going to be an issue. I picked up those ones from Aldi the other day too! Got the rechargeable lights yesterday too to see how they are. Using them tomorrow for first time but they seem pretty good on first impressions! Fed up of replacing batteries!

      @@CycleEveryday My ebike display has a function to switch on and power the lights from the battery. I'm going to enquire if it's possible to have such a system fitted.

    • @CycleEveryday
      @CycleEveryday  4 года назад

      mark jakeway the ebike is good on that but my Brompton doesnt. I could get a Dynamo fitted though which would work when going along. But if the rechargeable lights work might just go with those.

    Thank you. Have the bag and There is a Problem: maybe one of you have a Hack to get over IT.
    The bags Bottom is Not stable enough, when packed IT Covers the Frontlight. Thats a big issue for me

    • @CycleEveryday
      @CycleEveryday  3 года назад +1

      Hi There. Sorry to hear that. Just out of interest do you have the Brompton lights fitted just above the mudguard? If you do it shouldn't cover the light? If you have fitted something to the top of the stem like mine though and is fully packed you might have to move the light somewhere else. Also, depending on which handlebar you have might make a difference as well. I know that some of the larger bags like this are not as suitable for the s-bar type handle bars as they are slightly lower.

    Does the weight on the front handlebars affect the handling or balance much please?

    • @CycleEveryday
      @CycleEveryday  2 года назад

      In terms of the bags it makes the handling more stable I have found. I have found that it makes a big difference without the bag. Always take a bag on the front now and the one for the handler are seems to make no difference at all 👍

      Hi there. They are great. Always take mine with me on the bike. The picture is the high vis for the bag so it is the bag with the high vis cover it came with which is also really useful especially this time of year! 👍

      Thanks for the reply , you have your Brompton in a green box ? It comes up when your video finishes - what is the box please as it looks perfect for storing my Brompton 👌

    • @CycleEveryday
      @CycleEveryday  3 года назад +1

      @@tracker1009 oh I see what you mean. It is just a plastic file box, although this one is not mine. It is another Brompton that a friend has. They are the kind of plastic file boxes you can get from larger stationery shops although I have not seen any around recently. They are good and the right size as well. A plastic crate would do the job as well though.
