    So if the car thinks you are going 1mph slower then it thinks you are traveling fewer miles than you actually are, which means your efficiency might be better than the car thinks?

    Thanks for the comprehensive information! We're thinking about the same setup for our Model Y.

    I dumped the 21" UTs on my 2022 MYP for some TSportLine 18s but I opted for the same tire as the factory shipped - Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4's. What a huge difference in ride, efficiency, and performance, and no longer fear curbs or potholes. My efficiency dropped from 296 to 275 today after 15K miles. I'm looking for more range. But I love the look of the Offroad tires, just don't want to take a hit in efficiency or range. But thanks for sharing.

    I just put the T Sportline 18" wheels with Falken tires on my Model Y. In the Tesla menu, what wheels do you set? 19" Gemini or 20" Induction? Which one is closest to the new setup?

    I didn’t know 18” wheels would fit over the brakes. I really like the meaty look of the tires, I have a 22 model y long range with the 19” wheels, the ride isn’t bad but definitely not as soft as a Lexus suv….wonder if 18” wheels would improve the ride quality enough to justify the $$ of new setup. ✌️

    • @sunchiadventures
      @sunchiadventures  9 месяцев назад +2

      Taller tires will give you a softer ride, it won’t be life changing but noticeable.

    • @gokaruna
      @gokaruna 6 месяцев назад +1

      In addition to 18" wheels if you include suspension upgrade then it would be more like the Lexus F series experience. Not as soft as Lexus but like the Lexus sport variant - but quite better than the stock suspension. Although the 2024 Model Y comes with a better suspension - therefore my experience is with respect to 2023 model year and prior.

    • @david100483
      @david100483 6 месяцев назад

      @@gokaruna would this be new stock suspension or aftermarket? I seen some video of someone installing Tein (not sure exactly how the name spelled lol), but they claimed replacing the rear shocks alone made a big difference.

    • @gokaruna
      @gokaruna 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@david100483 Yeah I saw the video as well where they replace the rear shocks. But I am referring to the upgrade of the suspension itself - like the one made specifically for Tesla models by Mountain Pass Performance.

      @@sunchiadventuresI’m looking to do the same too.
      But I’m curious why not choose the 19” option?
      I’m browsing the TSportline website now, ready to purchase the overland package.
      Looks like they have 19” option
      Why would you prefer 18” over 19”?
