For me the fact that Osu Lazer officially supports Linux is a game changer for me. Being able to play Osu with having to use 3rd party modifications is a life saver

I honestly prefer seeing entire mapsets way more than single difficulties. It doesn't change how you search for them anyway so it's nice to see where they come from.
It does change how I search for them. Most of the time I want to play maps in a certain SR range, so I sort by difficulty and scroll to the place I want. Since Lazer seems to take the average of the difficulty of all the maps in the set, the sets that have a 5.8* diff are all over the place and not close together. Sure, you can type out the SR range in the search bar, but that's tedious, especially if you played a map and want to look in a slightly lower or higher range now. I wouldn't mind if it showed the entire mapset multiple times - once for each diff - but that's not how it currently is.

I have 80k beatmaps and I only sort by difficulty, getting the maps I want without searching for them without sorting by difficulty is borderline impossible. It sucks, it such a simple feature, I don't get why they haven't implemented it yet.
I mean, you can choose a difficulty range now, which maybe helps people that prefer single difficulties? I still prefer this way, because I don't have a ton of beatmaps and it's more in the style of other rhythm games I'm used to
the irc chat and the lazer/web chat is the same, it's just that PMs stay when you close and reopen, or if you get a pm while not having osu open it appears when you open it again
it is really good, the only thing i don't like is that there's no mobile support for modes other than standard (you have to plug in a keyboard i think)
the muted/no cursor mod reminds me of the hidden mod on osu!mania where it gets more harder to read and it gets to the point where you nearly cant see the notes but when you miss it goes back to almost normal
I use an M1 Mac, so lazer is really my only option. The "Double Time" slider and "random" option is so much fun I think I would have issues going back to stable.

Yeah I've actually been using Lazer to practice LN's in mania ever since they added the invert mod... Mainly for 7 key and above because there's not really any good easy maps to practice inverts in 7 key and higher. :v 10 key inverts are impossible on my keyboard because it doesn't have N-key rollover KEKW Soon I'll get a new keyboard. Just waiting for it to arrive.

Well, the other game modes also have Difficulty Adjust mod, STD and Taiko have Classic mod, which makes gameplay a lot more similar to stable (set score display from Standardised to Classic to match!), but the current Lazer build still doesn't have Classic for Mania and CtB tho Edit: Classic default skin (osu!classic) PERFECTLY matches Classic mod!
Well I didn't know what osu!lazer was and IU just downloaded it. And since I can transfer my collection to it, it's gonna be great too since I have a few of them to improve on Mania! Edit: Well after trying, I get random Loss on Mania while there are no notes on screen. Okay turns out the skin I use is somewhat incompatible with Lazer, it has actual non rendered notes. And teh basic skin is so thin and some color are straight unseeable. Unless you have some skins to recommend to me. I'm using the Arcaea 1.0 one for visual clarity, which well doesn't work on lazer haha
They still don't have double filters (or sort by keycount I think). So mania players have to sort by difficulty and hope they're clicking the right keycount songs.
Am I the only one having this issue where I can't use z and x for note streams? Every second note in a stream doesn't register for me so basically, I get this: 300, X 100, X, 300, X, 50 You get the idea. This happens until my hp drains all the way
I swear random is going to change mapping forever, and there will be a lot of players in the future who almost exclusively play with it, its just so fun

its been a while i play Lazer, last time was late 2020 builds and early 2021 builds, Well the problem is i have weird resolution on my pc to fix my monitor Ghosting, but osu lazer didnt have Native resolution option Osu Classic have. btw i use 1919x1079 as resolution to fix the ghosting
as a mania player, i would honestly play lazer a lot if it wasn’t for the fact that there still isn’t a setting to disable timing lines. other than that i love lazer.

Technically speaking it does submit your scores. It won't affect your profile until lazer is finished
