  • PLEASE LIKE THIS VIDEO! THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.
THIS VIDEO IS PURELY FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. I MADE THIS VIDEO TO SAVE YOU MONEY AND TO PROTECT YOU FROM THE STEALERSHIP AND THEIR OUTRAGEOUS REPAIR COSTS. IN THIS VIDEO I WILL SHOW YOU HOW TO CHANGE THE KNOCK SENSOR WIRE HARNESS AND THE, "DREADED KNOCK SENSORS." I WILL ALSO GO OVER HOW TO CHANGE THE VERY HARD TO GET TO AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR BANK 2 SENSOR 2. THIS VIDEO IS VERY HELPFUL WITH MANY OTHER REPAIRS AS WELL, SUCH AS CHANGING YOUR SPARK PLUGS AND COILS, AIR FILTER, MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR (MAF), AND A FEW OTHER THINGS. I AM IN NO WAY A MASTER MECHANIC, BUT I REFUSE TO PAY BOGUS MECHANICS CRAZY AMOUNTS OF MONEY FOR JOBS THAT ANY SMART, MECHANICALLY INCLINED PERSON CAN DO. THIS PARTICULAR JOB WOULD HAVE COST ME $350 FOR EACH KNOCK SENSOR, $95 FOR THE WIRE HARNESS, AND 5 HOURS OF LABOR @ $135 PER HOUR ACCORDING TO THE STEALERSHIP. YOU DO THE MATH!
PLEASE LIKE THIS VIDEO! THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.

Just wanted to say this video is awesome. I had to change my coolant bypass hose. And this video is clutch af bc that’s literally the last hose you undid before your knock censors. Thank man video gives you the run down on changing half of anything I’ve replaced

Pulling the top of the air box is a great time to examine your MAF sensor for buildup

Chris I like your take on the bank one sensor you got with the plenum off. I did it from under the car and it was the hardest/tightened thing I have every done to a car!!

I want to thank Chris again I helped my buddy do this and probably saved him 1 thousand dollars. I would highly recommend however that you find the proper torque specs for the manifold bolts.Drain some of the coolant so you do not get any into the cylinders . Use a vacuum cleaner to clean up all the dirt to keep it out of the cylinders. and finally yes change both sensors( they are identical and have the same life expectancy) and the wiring harness and the air/fuel sensor because you don't want to do this again . The older the car is the more fragile /brittle the wiring harnesses /hoses/ plastic pcs. become and you should pay close attention to these as you put everything back together because just disturbing them can be enough to cause them to fail and you do want the car to start after all this.
