Great homily, Fr. Joe! I follow you on X (formerly Twitter) and glad I found your channel here. That's funny your friend uses llamas to monitor the sheep. Although I'm a fellow American, my family originally hails from Peru in South America, where llamas are pretty abundant in numbers. During a visit years ago to the "old country" when I was a kid, I funny enough found some llamas to be kind of surly. I'm baffled on how llamas can be used to guard sheep as they also seem to not have natural defense mechanisms, etc. Back to the homily - yes, you're spot on. We humans often are consumed in our heads on what we think is best for us but not necessarily what the Lord has in mind for us.
