God- I love Odyssey, but I love Galaxy just a tiny bit more. Both are good in their own respects, and I feel it shouldn’t be a, “which is definitively better” competition, but I guess I prefer Galaxy because it has nostalgia points.
There's something special about super mario galaxy I can't quite understand. It's nostalgic but in a "visiting the empty house you used to live in before moving" rather than the "those were the good times" type of nostalgia. And even for a mario game it didn't even feel nearly as upbeat as the other games, it felt slower but in a good way, it's not the type of slow that bores you but the type of slow that gives you serenity. The second game was alright but it felt completely different from the first one, it had more of an adventure and action vibe instead.
David Trujillo The reason galaxy is so magical is because of childhood. Many take for granted how great childhood years are, but if say Odyssey was released in 07 and Galaxy was released in 17 Odyssey would be more magical, at least for those who played it when they are young.
@@truji2582 And also I love the entire thing anyway. And also the first one was a introduction to a new character as one of Mario’s good friends and her cute little star children.🙂
people in the replies are attributing the preference for galaxy to nostalgia, and while that may be a factor i genuinely believe its just because galaxy is a better game. graphics dont make a game - people wouldnt keep coming back to old classics if they did. mario odyssey is wonderful and enthralling and it thrusts you into this huge open world map, but the story isnt really one you can get invested in on quite the same scale. smg has a lot of lore behind it and a lot to feel for. odyssey is a great game, but it could never make me cry like smg has. the wonderful open world quality of odyssey is a double edged sword because you lose so many of the classic mario quirks that make the level design fun. the sub areas in odyssey are really nice, but i just dont think they can beat the wonder one feels from exploring gateway galaxy or the observatory or what have you.
I have seen you literally everywhere in comment sections of music extensions. I have been looking for this specific version of Gateway Galaxy and never found it for years until today. Oh my stars.
Those are the songs I like to do extensions of. The ones that can’t be found anywhere else. I’m glad you were able to find one that you were looking for!
I, too, have been looking for this one after I realized it existed on my most recent playthrough, and I'm glad I found a full dedicated loop of this version. Thanks for your service!
Holy crap this hits hard. AGES ago in 2008, this was the first level I actually remember playing, and hearing it again along with the other tracks just reminds me that this game was absolutely a masterpiece for it's time, both visually and musically.
Ah! A classic Wii game. This is the second Wii game I ever owned. Now I wanna go back to 2014 of when I first opened and played it So badly. When I got to here I loved the music so I sat on the map listening to it! One of my favorite songs in the game. Unfortunately I was that young i didn’t know the text of I wish I hid somewhere else was a hint to find the other bunnies. But still I had a blast. Nostalgia is real and it wasn’t a fever dream!
I always come back to this video, love sitting down and listening to this, or when I’m on break. I’ll eat breakfast and listen to this or play video games and listen to this. I have so many nostalgic memories of this game, truly the foundation of my childhood. Gateway galaxy specifically because it’s got a nostalgic chime to it and is the first place your at. The bunnies and music make me think of how little me played through this game so innocently having fun. Thank you so much!
I remember that time when the bunny's were in that planet with the holes, then I grabbed one acdently drop him into the hole. From this day I still feel bad
Nice Wii Game. And I liked New Super Mario Bros Wii. That was the first game I ever owned on the Wii. This is The Second Wii game I ever owned. I miss when They still sold Wii Games at my local GameStop and Walmart and even Target. But at least I found a store that sells old games like that. It was Infinite Lives. I think Nintendo should make a throwback Mario day and have stores sell classic Wii games and Ds games and I could go on forever. I Think they should try to make it happen. I can’t make any promises to myself.
I'm someone who's not really that big on galaxy 1, I've always preferred the sequel, simply because I grew up with it (and I'm still kinda sour over never being able to beat galaxy 1's tutorial as a kid, I swear the flipswitches kept undoing themselves.) But holy crap this song makes me feel emotional, they really didn't need to try this hard for a song about catching rabbits
Man I’m confused, didn’t you used to have a old logo with the grabbing pulling star picture because I remembered listening this 3 years ago and I couldn’t find it after
I feel like this track must be more fitting for the time that the Super Mario Brothers are somewhere back on Gateway Galaxy, but, there's more than just bunny rabbits, there's also cats? What?
*I like how anytime you see a Bunny it’s literally a Luma!*

I never noticed it while playing...i only noticed little devils running around as i was screaming "DIE, DIE" at them
I love bunnies!
But annoying as hell

Thank you for uploading this! The first time I listened to this song and wandered around the planet, I was wondering where the heck I was.

I listen to this song at least once a day. I love it so much and it’s super nostalgic
Finally !!
been waiting a long time to hear this in listenable format
I agree! Now I don't have to leave the game open just to listen to this music. 😉
This is probably what the theme would sound like if Yoshi was in gateway galaxy and you were on him.
This is how I feel that heaven is heard
That bunny is so adorable.
Later they took heroin in rabbids invasion, dammit.
or simply turned into the various Yoshis
I love it too much!
I remember that time when the bunny's were in that planet with the holes, then I grabbed one acdently drop him into the hole. From this day I still feel bad
I've never noticed that there was a slight change in music when you were chasing the bunnies.
The Yoshi drums speaks all...

Are the drums part of the MIDI sequences in the game’s files?

Rosebud k I will

man these bunnys were hard yo catch for me ;-;
yep...
Still my fav Mario... All the others are so weird... ☺
agreed, this game is unbelievable. When you say "all the others" I hope you are not including galaxy 2 cuz that game is excellent as well :P
Same but the other Mario games are cool to
Well, it’s Mario, so their all weird. Weird and BEAUTIFUL!
You know its gonna be asinine if they break out the overly calm version
Who could possibly be the one person who disliked this song
Definitely that mission must’ve been too hard for them. Also if you upload another version I’ll have to give that video a like as well
Me i dont lik mario galaxys it sucks it
@@AzelJNR Then why are You here?
@@ellol22 Its a joke, Mario galaxy is one of my favorite mario games.
thankfully, there are 0 dislikes
When you sneak Yoshi into the Gateway
