I use Airtel as well, never had issues receiving verification code, not sure why this happens. Maybe you should try contacting their support.

First of all Geegpay is a reputable company and your data is safe, and again your BVN is mostly used by financial service providers to verify your identity and be sure you are who you say you are, it is not necessarily used for making transactions by you or someone else on your behalf. While it is important to keep it safe, it is not really sensitive information that can be used on its own to attack you.

After inserting my email, they've been asking me to wait for code since last week. They've not sent it. I have tried it several time. Yes if they are in the US they can do an ACH transfer to your Geegpay account, but because Geegpay doesn't have an invoicing system yet, that's the only way for now.

Ideally it should be that of the employer, but were the employer does have a LinkedIn profile, you can use yours as the employee, I've tried both and it worked

Geegpay is funny because they're aware freelancers exist but they keep saying employer... Not everyone uses a freelance marketplace duhh
Yea I understand your point Luiz, however most companies have a unique selling point, for Geegpay, they make it clear that their major target audience is Freelancers, its even in the name, their product is mainly designed for the "Gig Economy"
But it doesn't also mean non freelancers cannot use the service, which is why I did this video, and verified an account of someone who is not a freelancer showing exactly how it's done.
So freelancer or not, anyone who earns on or offline can use Geegpay

@@TheBrimFactor I wrote a paragraph before my previous comment and I'm just realizing RUclips didn't send it lol .. Basically I was pointing out the way Geegpay's new platform feels like it forces you to have an "employer"... It says marketplace certificate of earnings is accepted..but what if I'm a freelancer who doesn't use marketplaces?... On Payoneer for example they've held my fund before and asked for similar verification but they had different options..like "client email correspondence"..."contract agreement" etc... But Geegpay Which is supposed to be based around freelancers act like freelancers only exist on upwork and Fiverr . overall these fintech platforms act like it's not possible to literally just chat someone on Facebook and do business there... it's freelancing... there are no rules...so I'd recommend they should accommodate more options in their verification process
