Cool that the spikes are not working as intended. It is literally a top down rocket that won't hit your enemies top down. You can't shoot it straight either which is also either a bug or a bad design decision by the devs because that is also how the missile could be used in reality.

I remember a comment from that one Spookston video where some dude says "The fire and forget part is from the POV of the missile; You fire the missile and then the missile forgets what its supposed to do" and honesty, that has to be the best description of fire and forget missiles in this game.
I thought it was a good idea in theory since the highground on Sinai was always a super cringe campfest, but they really overdid it. Now instead of being spawn camped from highground you get spawn camped from the town.

I dunno is this will be seen or not but I did a ground rb match and got 42k research. I had a 500% booster and got a nuke but couldn’t drop it. I just wanted to share that if anyone reads it.
The Vilkas is not exactly bad not good, it’s average at best, I think the best I did with it was like 5 kills and 5 assists on magiot line, the sheer amount of satisfaction I get from a spike missile kill tho, it’s more then any good game imo

My only problem with it is the tier is full of people playing premiums including Su-25k and A-6 so essentially you either need to do all the legwork and hope you don’t face USA or Russia
Leave it to War Thunder devs to ruin the best part s of every map to "fix" balance issues instead of just making good maps from the start. If the hill stays blocked off Sands of Sinai is just a another auto leave match added to the book. The rest of the map is terrible.

be aware of the ammo bug, if your ammo is exploded it kills all the reserve ammo too
I just go into battle with 1 magazine because I will never long enough to need the other 2 lol.

After playing it I find that while the Vilkas isn’t the best IFV in the game it is however a nice line up filler.

They made it much better than kf41... I can say maybe 40 percent easier to lock missiles... Shameful !
