As a Newcastle fan can someone explain to me why all these grown ass men are singing tell me ma instead of tell me wife. Why are these blokes mams cooking their tea XD. I have been a Geordie and toon fan for 33 years honestly it confuses me. I can only guess people sang it 24 years ago when their mams did make their tea and it has been rekindled so is being sang again. But if someone could explain to me that would be great.

When us Newcastle fans enjoy the football then the whole atmosphere changes around the club. We are having some fun in the stadium for the first time in so many years and sounds like there are some outside fans that are boring AF

Good atmosphere until 2nd half, 45m from a wembley final I think nerves got the better. Southampton came back out looking much better. People must of forgot we were still 2 goals ahead not 1 🤷

As a Saints fan the atmosphere at St James park was on and off. Definitely incredible noise about 7 mins before the final whistle and afterwards. Odd little chant during from the Newcastle faithful but incredible for very short periods during the game part from that St James park was a library. Us Saints fans was singing for 90 mins even when lossing but regardless of opinions so on so forth I wish Newcastle the best in the final and I'm gracious in defeat.

This is true, it's a cup game and not the usual atmosphere, nowhere near it but Southampton fans where also very quiet. We where electric first half and then incredibly quiet and anxious the second. It seemed the case with both sets of fans.
