That’s Man City’s annual budget
the Newcastle fans owe Mike ashley a lot he made sure he sold the club to proper owners who will invest money
@@ronnylee1520 One of the few things he did that really did good to the club. I think that a potential club owner has to be checked on whether he's got the financial background to own a club without risking their financial stability

It’s sad because teams in leagues like the Serie A are competing with not even half of the money the Prem has, their best players end up being bought by Prem teams.

Sky Sports Retro never lets you down 🤣 ⚫️⚪️
I like how he said that if the club could prosper from a richer benefactor he wont stand in the way. That's admirable even though his tenure as the boss mostly wasnt. Most owners just want to suck their clubs dry.
Ya, arsenal & to a lesser extent man u, Ashley at least got the club it of debt, steadied it along, bite the nee owners have a springboard to go of of
man u ppl say he did wrong to rename stadium ik it was but it made more money to flow into club easy and his net sped and profit allows new owners to work freely without any ffp shackles for next 3 years so he did a gr8 gestue for newcastle fans tbf
I agree, even though sometimes it looked uneasy to watch Newcastle, the financial situation is really clear, and the new owners can pump the money into the club, especially transfers.
Newcastle won’t be no different the woman involved in all of this says it all
He knew he was in a losing battle when it came to prem teams. For the past few years, his only goal for Newcastle was to avoid relegation so he could sell the club with a spot in the Premier league, in order to get the most value out of it. He was basically 'min maxing' it.
Imagine going back in time and telling your great grandfather that Newcastle will be the richest club in the world
Tbh in the mid 70s it wouldnt've been unbelievable.
Like a whole week ago !
There’s rich and then there’s football rich.. Newcastle are nowhere near the richest club in the “football” world and never will be.. FFP means they are actually pretty average when it comes to spending power.. All that money but can’t spend it, what a shame
They’re not. They’re owned by the richest fund, but the value of Newcastle is not as high as other Prem clubs
@@joshuadawson8202 They’re higher than most prem clubs though. Not as valuable as Man U, man C, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool (maybe West Ham/Leicester) that’s about it. Check most valuable clubs in EUROPE and Newcastle is always around the top 20 and have been for years.
Mike Ashley’s biggest downfall was that he didn’t do interviews. He would not have been so misunderstood or disliked if he had.

Won't matter. They won't be able to spend much more than a Chelsea, United or city anyway. City and Chelsea already push the limits of what they can do without punishment. Newcastle won't be any different. They'll compete at the top but they won't leave other clubs in the dust

@@pedropierre9594 Chelsea and City don't outspend the likes of United and when they do it isn't by much. That's why they can somewhat get away with it. The league doesn't step in because united don't feel like they are in a position to fully throw their toys out of the pram. If Newcastle start spending to a point that united can't financially compete then they will start complaining about it. That forces the PL to intervene cause once the naturally richest club in the league starts complaining then everyone else and the fans follow suit and the PL is looking at a superleague level backlash from the footballing community. That's why Newcastle will only spend around the same amount as city, United and Chelsea cause they know they can't push it much further without major backlash
