Hi I'm Hana and I'm a student at the University of Guelph

The ICON course is different from a standard class. It's more focused on unique projects and projects that showcase what you want to do yourself. My group had an idea of creating an after-school program We kind of just came up with the blueprint or business model for that and during ICON we were able to go into the specifics of it. It's different than just brainstorming in your normal class because you're brainstorming with people coming from like a wide array of majors and programs. People brought up questions and topics that I wouldn't have thought of myself so it was a really good learning environment. I'm a lot more open to other majors at the school. I think I just have an open mind towards learning from the other disciplines and I really like want to be involved in projects and experiences with people from across disciplines.
