My right side cable is broken, after being on back order for about 7 months I finally purchased one and I'll definitely be following this guy's video to install mine. Straight forward and to the point, very precise!!! If only everyone could shoot a clear detailed video like this guy... NO BS JUST BUISNESS
Thank you for the detailed close ups. My left latch itself is loose not the wire looks like I just need to replace the part that hooks to the wire. My hood keeps coming up on one side on the freeway. Kinda scary! -cheers
Dope video! So I have a w204 2008 c300 4matic sport. The hood comes up while driving. So I'm not sure if it it's the latches or the cable? I just order the latches. So pretty much it doesn't lock properly... I can opening even if it's parked without pulling on the lever in the cabin .

Did you ever have a problem with it not shutting all the way? The hood on my 2007 E550 had that issue. I'm only at the begining of trying to clean the latches on the left and right. It only catches on the main center latch. Thanks if you see this.
No I didn’t have A problem with mines catching..It would be A good idea to gone ahead and replace both sides hood latches because one will get stuck one day and you want be able to open your hood! All W211 have this problem at some point of time!
