What about the 10th time when it doesn't work. What do i do?
Would this work for a w230?
hi. may i know what size the screw bolt?
Nice video clip. But doesn help me. Mine is W221 2010 and it has a different Micro Switch in the hood latch. The switch clicks when pushed. I tried to pernamently block it, but still "open hood" message. I couldn't not find the switch part number in EPC. Did you come accross this micro switch? Cheers
Cut the two wires to the switch and join them the car thinks the switch is pressed. Jobs a good un
how about 2006 mb sl500 trunk open warning on but trunk is closed advise
Will this problem keep the windshield wipers from working?
Yes it will. Mercedes wipers don't work when the car thinks you have the hood open.
@@YOUCANIC mine working c200d 2017...I will check the sensor thanks man
@@YOUCANIC Hi sir i have a 2009 ML 350, i wrapped a rubber band around the middle of the switch so it’s constantly holding the metal strip down. However its still going off when I drive, any suggestions?
in my case, in the Mercedes W221, there is no message that the hood is open, only on one side it does not close, what could be the reason?
I have a 2004 mercedes e320..... the big red hood open light just randomly came on one night driving home. I checked the hood latches and the one thats holding the sensor switch is shaking around inside the latch?
Likely to be same fix for an A class?
I need the actual harness that the sensor connects to? Can anyone provide any insight?
Hi thank you for this video. Well I have a GLK 350 2013 model and got the hood open displayed on my dashboard for some time now. Have replaced the hood sensor but still doesn’t stop displaying at the dashboard. What else can I possibly do
If you have a good scanner you can look at the values from the hood switches to see what the computer is seeing.
Hood switches should show either under front sam or instrument cluster live data.
