Hey, I wanted to thank you for your videos. I replaced the transmission in my daughter's 01 civic last weekend, using a couple of your videos as guides. Everything went great and she is back at college with a working car again. Thanks man.
Friend, it’s not weird to feel that way it’s responsible and mature to think that way, you have children and if something happens where you can’t work even for a month you need some back up money you’re doing the right thing.
On that accord check the connector for the crankshaft position sensor, I had a 2005 special edition Civic 1.7l with similar problems, After replacing the crankshaft position sensor connector itself, problem gone, I believe whoever did the timing belt on Ours let coolant run into this connector when the waterpump was replaced during a timing belt job. Mine didn't even set codes it just wouldn't start randomly after driving a few miles like going to a gas station or grocery store wouldn't restart always. Good luck.
O to clarify I ment allowing the sensor to fill up with coolant then never cleaning it out before just plugging it in, It corroded the connector, I know someone else tried to repair this problem because the OEM sensor was GONE 😁 And this was a pain in ass to figure out because just looking at the end of the connector it looked fine but was all green on the inside, I have three others like this never had a problem with them even in Wisconsin the rust belt, I'm careful while doing these timing belts not to fill these sensors full, because when the water pump is pulled the block drain completely unless one takes the plug out in the back of the block below the head another way to drain it out, But this design saves the engine bottom end when all coolant is lost from a damaged radiator, I know because it happened to 🤡 me once.
Now you can tell your customers if you can't fix there car on the side of the road you can tow it back to your shop LOL. Awesome video keep up the great content cheers from Canada 🍻.
Hey i have a first gen crv automatic. It's in perfect shape. I'd really like to drive it but it's having some idling issues more like surging. If you have any advise I'd appreciate it.
Hey just wondering, how did you learn to weld? I want to get back into hondas, But i want to learn to weld like you did so i can do a Turbo AWD conversion
@@hondaresource Appreciate it. Have a boosted b20v in an awd crv. Even just making 260whp it was all over. Plan for atleast 400whp on my new build so gonna try to go viscous. Your channel had been a huge help. Us honda, especially CRV guys appreciate it.
@@hondaresource Just picked up a newer element rear diff with the pre ramp in it. Gonna change the springs and run a lsd block. Should be alot better than it was.

I need that full exhaust setup on the awd coupe video.. I need some ideas for mine lol

Yup yup

I don't call myself a welder, but I can make it stick. I've just had a lot of trial and error
If you could I need a heater core for my first gen Crv
I've never had to do one in a crv.
I Need a crv 5speed all wheel drive trans for a kseries
I saw one the other day on the AWD pages on fb
You should build me an AWD Integra
It's just money
@@hondaresource How much? I have everything except motor mounts
How much for the Eg coupe awd lol? No seriously I’m interested
$7500
How has that phantom grip in the rear diff worked out?
The one in the CRV has been problem free. Not as good as a true lsd but definitely better than nothing

Awesome! I made 900hp in my awd eg hatch on a pinned CRV diff

got a 93 civic in pretty bad shape cant find parts to save my life not even somethin as simple as window rubber seals
Parts are definitely becoming harder to find for these older honda's
You either have to fix that 2000 or sell it to me
