WELL I am 81 now but the Hopper was my first shortwave rig. Dad put a old audio amp out of a kids record player on it and that gave speaker audio. Gave the receiver to a child that dad knew that was sick. W4GSM
The Allied Knight Ocean Hopper was my first station receiver as a Novice op 'way back in the 1950s. :^)
