    I always prefer driving at night. Less assholes on the road, and when I'm getting ready to shut down at 7 or 8 in the morning, I have no problem finding a spot.

    Love driving at night. Plus, I never have a problem filling up quickly at the fuel station. Try filling up between 5 and 8 AM. what a mess!

    Its just nice and peaceful. All thebreas9ns above, but basically its judt less everything. Sun aint in your eyes, heat isnt as much of an issue, roads are empty, easy to see other traffic coming up on you with their headlights on at night- so long as they have their lights on.....

    I loved rolling through Indianapolis and Atlanta at 2AM. I get all warm and tingly just thinking about it

    When I seen an opportunity to start at 2am or drive and finish around 5am, I snatch the opportunity, especially when driving through states like Georgia, NJ, NY, and Pennsylvania.

    Pretty much they way I operated for over 20yrs. Additionally, I worked mostly on weekends, leaving me often with Mon-Wed off and free to enjoy beaches and many other leisure activities crowd free. Loved it and spent a lot of time with my wife and kids while they were little. You folks that are still out there grinding away, keep your head up!

    You forgot how much easier it is on the eyes and how much more relaxing. When we went on vacation, i keep the family up all day early and left late in the day and had 10 hours of peaceful bliss driving while everyone else slept.

    Always tried to start up around 2am when I was otr. Still get the morning traffic but parking was always easy around 2pm

    Our company does not have a/c in any of our fleet so night time is very cool. I cant handle the humidity during the day. Plus we get a shift premium for nights.

    I run the east coast and cover a lot more miles by driving at night. It saves a ton of fuel too.

    Dad did a lot of driving and always honked to truck drivers and they honked back. As a kid you’ll never forget it

    Another reason down here in the south is because the road is cooler and it’s usually easier on your tires

    You are spot on The only thing I hated about driving at night was when I'm parked for the day during summer It got freaking hot in that truck trying to sleep even with the AC blasting

    I love seeing the sunrise in the Smokey Mountains. I have seen wrecks from sun glare, so there's that.

    When I was a young man any time I drove about 10 to 12 hours to an ocean front I always found a nice truck driver on my c.b. radio to talk to along the way. That and a thermos full of coffee made ti feel like a shorter drive.

    Multiple for me: less traffic, great parking after the shift, less roadwork, and I start my drive with the sunset and end with the sunrise.

    Same with 911 EMS. You still get goofy calls, but there’s more code red patients in the middle of the night.

    Excellent reasons, they're why I drove at night. Anytime after 9 pm and parked anytime before 7 or 8 am.

    I drive nights in WA. No traffic. No scales. And I'm a home daily driver so only time I'm at a truck stop is to fuel and grab coffee 😊

    I love starting around 9pm to 11pm and ending shifts around 12am-2 pm not alot of people in the showers and open parking near the building and i can keep my truck at 68mph on my shift no 4 wheelers speeding past me getting in my lane then looken at there phones all while slowing me down cause the truck has so many sensers they start screaming at u

      I could also do 500+milez with 2-3 store stops which take up 30mins-1hour and make it back home and im home weekly

    Heck yea that's why I'm a night driver when it's feasible.... I hate day driving too many 4 wheelers doing the most... I'm mad in the day time just so happy at night 😂😊
