I wish this was longer, i wouldve loved to hear him talk about the other movies he did, too. Like Exodus, American Gangster, Prometheus, The Counselor, Alien Covenant. His not so great movies should be accounted for! Lol

Ridley Scott's storytelling style often involves a strong emphasis on atmosphere and setting, drawing viewers into the world before fully revealing character connections and motivations. This can create a sense of mystery and gradual unfolding of the plot.
    For instance:
-The Martian: The focus initially is on the survival of Mark Watney (Matt Damon) on Mars, with the audience slowly learning about his character and the efforts of the team back on Earth to save him. The plot builds up to emphasize teamwork, resilience, and ingenuity.
    - Alien: The setting of the spaceship and the eerie atmosphere are established first, with the characters' dynamics and their individual traits becoming clearer as the horror unfolds. The tension builds around the alien threat and the crew's survival.
Scott often uses characters who may seem less significant at first but become crucial as the story progresses. His films frequently feature protagonists who rise to the challenge and "save the day," fitting the classic hero archetype.

Great stuff but it missed the movie I wanted to hear him talk about the most: Kingdom of Heaven. It would also be interesting to hear him talking about his "failures" like Legend and A Good Year or Robin Hood.

he's the best director, right? I mean genius Kubrick has the best track record ever and Spielberg is a Jedi but Ridley just keeps putting out film after film even at 80 and all of them are at the very least pretty decent, they vary a bit in story and scale and have an epic feel most of the time

Ridley Scott should direct Marada, the She-Wolf . It is a fantasy comic book fictional character created for Epic Comics by writer Chris Claremont and English artist John Bolton.
