I just love the bosses overall. They really look like big badasses ready for a duel. But what i find the most fascinating is their unique aproach and personality they have even in the battle. 1. The twin ships sandwitch you and fire from both sides trapping you. If one of them goes down the other goes berserk lights their ship on fire and rush in for rams and more agressive close range fight. 2. El Impoputo is just a brute and rushes in and preffers quick hit and run tactics, with his exceptionally good speed and monsterous ram in front of his ship. Hits and runs out of your range. 3. The so called ghost ship being invulnerable with its great hull thus forcing you to go offensive and ideally focus his rear. 4. That other singular ship utilises its strong mortars mostly and avoids close range which again you have to tail him and harass.
@@something4179 The ghost ship, HMS Prince, doesn't have a strong hull though, that trait belongs to La Dame Negra, the ship with strange mortar mechanics whose only vulnerable spot is the rear. To make it to easier remember them, the Spanish ships are unique and take advantage of their construction such as the ram and invincible broadsides, the English ships use tactics instead like the double broadside cannon fire and fog to conceal and do surprise attacks.
Sometimes if you get close enough you do see crew members aboard. For instance, fighting the twins you can see the Brits riling up. Or even the ship's introductory you can see men. Except for the ghost ship. Which i love that attention to detail
I'll always remember my very first encounter with one of these ships... Once I got to the point of freely exploring with the Jackdaw, I was enjoying the sights and seeing how far the game's boundaries allowed me to go. I ran into rogue waves, waterspouts, and pillaging several of the smaller British & Spanish ships. I trekked along the northwestern area keeping the coast in sight of my starboard side with the camera aimed at it to see if any hidden gems may be awaiting. Then the waters began to clear and thought I'd be hitting the invisible wall shortly. It seemed like minutes until a short cutscene slowed me down to put attention on a distant ship. I was going full speed and didn't get concerned because I figured I could just outrun it like others I've done before. Unbeknownst to me, it was _El Impoluto_ and it gave me a quick burst of adrenaline when I saw its ramming speed far exceeding mine & my weak weapons barely causing a sliver of damage to it. I was not able to flee in time and was sunk within a few hits. I'll never forget those moments of simultaneous despair and excitement.
Definitely my favourite legendary ship and probably the strongest in the game The El Impoluto is an absolute beast someone should make a mod where you could put all of the legendary ships against each other and see who when my bets are definitely on the El Impoluto though The La Dama Negra would probably win with no changes to the AI because the AI would be too stupid to realise it's not doing any damage by just hitting the front and sides of the ship
There was a bug a while back where you could board El Impoluto. You would start the boarding action and your ship would constantly spin around in a circle around it while El would just stay where it was not doing anything. After boarding you could run up to the crewmen who were standing on the edges of the ship and knock them all off without to much fuss. Then you would swim back to your ship, stop the boarding action and El would only take one broadside to sink cause its crewmen counted toward its hp.

The fact that the pattern is so hard to beat is pretty amazing. This dude has all the ship upgrades and was this close to getting killed still (the last ship standing has a charge that will literally take half your health, either one that’s last will do it) It actually takes a thought process to beat. Great game.
No, not quite fully upgraded, his swivel guns are either one or two points below max. Those things can take out an entire Man O' War health segment, and they gain rapid-fire by holding down Tab or Triangle. The HMS Prince fight is a joke since you can deal so much damage with broadside barrages + max swivels that you can basically stun-lock the ship.

that would be nice, but reduce the already easy difficulty more, maybe just one ship at a time, and no man o wars allowed, frigs would have mortars and also heal u a little when close, brigs can interrupt enemies by ramming them and schooner would replenish some ammo
I think the ghost ship was actually modeled after the flying Dutchman because the flying Dutchman was a modified frigate and this isn't a normal (ship of the line) or man-o-war you see in the game
Flying dutchman was not a modified frigate, it was a Dutch Fluyt. Also Man-o-war is not synonymous with Ship-of-the-line as Man-o-war just means any vessel outfitted for combat.
It's been years since I played this game but when I saw El Impoluto I got flashbacks of those bad days, It was too hard to kill it. I don't know how many times I tried
Me too. Ever since i first encountered it, the ship bullied me with the ram, i didnt know what to do and it scared the crap out of me. But now i can easily bully it Just by using the chasers to stop it and ram it head on, the chaser cannons are its biggest weakness. You must catch it with the chasers and ram the crap out of it with momentum. Or you can use heavy shot too It felt so good and satisfying dude XD
I played this game on Xbox 360 on 2015 and recently played it again on Switch. The HMS Prince and La Dama Negra are the most easiest ones to defeat for me. El Impoluto and the British duo (HMS Fearless and Royal Sovereign) were the most trickiest ones. Anyway, they are very fun to destroy and proves your bravery and patience.
The coolest detail I loved about these legendary ships is they each had some kind of identity. Especially the duo, nothing will match the fear I had when I killed the first one, just to see the second one catch fire and immediately charge at me in rage.
Did anyone else see the sheer number of cannonballs the first ships fired! Those things could tear a ship in two with the sheer number of shots they fired
Remember that pirates of the Caribbean scene where the flying Dutchman and the black pearl absolutely wreck the endeavor by blasting their cannons on each side? That's how it feels to be shot by the twins, except you're the one getting mythically destroyed
Legendary Ship simplified HMS Prince: hits harder than a normal belt HMS Sovereign and Fearless: Get gang banged El Impoluto: I am speed La Dama Negra: I have no Ass
El Impoluto is not a difficult ship to defeat, but it's a challenge to do. You have to dodge his attacks, and if the ship is ramming you. Use the back of the Jackdaw, cover yourself, and use every weapon you have (barrels, mortar, and canyons) when you can use it.
Here’s a tip for anyone who wants to sink those annoying man o wars with mortars. When they attack with mortar, just spam speed up and slow down every second and it will screw up their aim because they aim toward where you’re aiming to go
The scariest one in my opinion will always be the Dama Negra. You just see this random ship staying still expecting it to be easy game, only then to realise that you can barely damage her with cannons and ramming and in the meantime she'll keep bombing you with tons of mortar shots and broadsider cannons. Idk it just gives those vibes of undefeatable that only few bosses give
I’ve always wanted a mixture of Black Flag, Pirates of the Caribbean Online, and Sea of Thieves. Just to take the best elements of all 3 games and make the perfect pirate game
Finishing the Legendaries Ships really makes the game too empty. That makes me want to actually complete the game once again to use “cheat” while fighting them so the game won’t save my progress and I can fight them as much as I want :D
Heres some tips the twin ship : treat is as if you're fighting 2 man o' wars, but destroy both of them together - don't get sandwiched HMS prince : be ready, she's sneaky. but it's still a normal man o' war - try your best to track her El Impoluto : side cannons and weak point will be your best bet - when she wants to ram you, run in the same direction to minimize damage - before she rams you, use barrels. after she rams you, use cannons and weak point - her side is weak, unlike the beak La Dama Negra : fire at the back of her, that's where she's weak -always be prepared to slow down so you can move easier
El Impoluto has another weakness. If you keep your side always to her side when she comes towards you, she will miss you and only shoots some canon balls. After she misses don't turn towards her because she will ram you. Instead turn the opposite directionand away from her. She will turn away from you too and take long round to attack again. This long round gives you few times to shoot her. Repeat the same strategy again and again until she sinks.
The ghost ship would've been a much tougher fight and epic if the fog made the ship disappear and reappear for surprise attacks. It'd make sense and be hella creepy.
I ABSOLUTELY remember seeing those two Man O’ Wars in the game, and being too scared to fight them. Also, I really just love Assassins Creed, 2,3, and 4. They hold a special place in my assassination susceptible heart.
The only problem with HMS Prince is that he was just a normal Man'o War with just a high damage and a quite resistant armor, it was not that difficulty. (He also doesn't appear on the minimap, I kinda like that mechanic since it is suppose to be a ghost ship.)
Coming here because i'm disappointed with how Skull & Bones looks like Man i miss this game, i can spend hours just initiate war, create chaos or just circle around the sea, good times
The biggest drawback imo is that the canon reload speed was ridiculously fast. So every shot is kinda oh cool a shot. Back then every shot is count and important. aim is more important than spamming shots. In this game the faster you spam the faster you win
@@damnsonwheredyoufindthis.3830 Funny thing the jackdaw is a brig with the same firepower as some 5/4th rates with a total of 56 guns (sides and front)... So in paper the Jackdaw is a brig... In reality is more like a 6 rate on steroids with a naval ram and mortars
This is still the best game in the assassins creed series. Not necessarily the best "assassins creed" but the best game overall. There's simply nothing else quite like black flag and its a shame.
I did it to el impoluto but i realise it was quite boring to get in the ships, i mean you can easily kill them from the inside but where is the fun to that. Right now i can easily bully the El impoluto, the ghost and the armored ship But i struggle on defeating the twin ships
@@dudeguy3243 Heres a tip, if you destroy one the other one will light itself on fire and try to ram you, so a thing you can do is get them both at low health so it wont be much of a problem.
@@LocalDemocracyOfficer well when the white ship tries to ram me. I use the chasers to slow it down And i immediately position myself so i can ram it. And also when i am at its broadsides. I go to half sails to slow down and use chasers again to ram and heavy shot. It got my adrenaline up dude XD
My first legendary ship encounter was like 4 years ago. I invaded Dry Tortuga then that weird cross appeared on the corner of the map. I was really weak then, but I decided to check it out. Yop, I started with the strongest one. It killed me in less than 2 minutes. But after I finished the game and got all upgrades I attacked then again. I took out the ones on the southern part first try, but the other ones still killed me. Even tho I defeated them it was still really hard
Dang right, the ship scared the crap out of me. I did 2 tries to beat it, you just need to delete their health in a small amount and kill the black one. When the white ship comes, immediately position yourself and use chaser cannons and bully it with ram and heavy shot.
@@dudeguy3243 the most satisfing thing is slowing them with chaser cannos and ram them like a rhino espacially the elite one you can boost the ram befor hitting them
And better customization. Sails, figurehead and wheel is not much. I wish another pirate game was made with similar combat and setting but more activities, ship types, different ship types to own and keep at a dock for different sitiations, obviously you ain't takistab a 1st rate to explore or do missions around bayou for example. But also a lot more customization for the ships. Paints, cannon encravings or shapes(tips shaped like dragon heads for example), different looking railings, lanterns, cabin decor, etc. My main complaint with black flag and rogue is the lack of customization, second being only having 1 ship.
I had this dream where I was fighting a legendary ship. From afar, it looked like your typical legendary ship, but when I got closer to it, it was MASSIVE, bigger than any other legendary ship, It was 3 times the size of a man o' war, My ship's size was like a gunboat compared to it. It was like a Dark Souls bossfight. I quicky got sunk shortly after.
First time I accidentally got to close to a legendary ship not knowing what it was...that little intro cut scene scared the shit outta me...was like what fresh hell is this ..

That would’ve been amazing, especially seeing all of them lvl 60 Spanish man o wars at once
Yeah especially fighting el bulshitto
That would be useful for going to new bone
that would be nice, but reduce the already easy difficulty more, maybe just one ship at a time, and no man o wars allowed, frigs would have mortars and also heal u a little when close, brigs can interrupt enemies by ramming them and schooner would replenish some ammo
3 men o war not man o wars
Very nice this game brings back memories thank you for the wonderful quality. 👍 Keep it up!!!

El Impoluto my old foe we meet again...
But now i can easily bully it
Just by using the chasers to stop it and ram it head on, the chaser cannons are its biggest weakness.
You must catch it with the chasers and ram the crap out of it with momentum.
Or you can use heavy shot too
It felt so good and satisfying dude XD
@Jon Valler nani? (:v)
That ship was insane to beat Not only it has a ram but The speed of the ship was crazy
Even nearly maxed it took me neatly 20 tries🤣😭 just gotta spam the hell out of em, and even then I was 1 shot away from death
Skull and Bones wished they were this good.
This game is unique and has something special, one of my favourite games all time, not even AC fan but this game played thousands of hours : )
That guy is the greatest pirate i've ever seen...
Legendary Ship simplified
HMS Prince: hits harder than a normal belt
HMS Sovereign and Fearless: Get gang banged
El Impoluto: I am speed
La Dama Negra: I have no Ass
Love it. I've beaten all legendary ships except El Impoluto. Tried so many times n still couldn't beat it.
Ironically for me El Impluto was the easiest, but the stupid HMS Prince gave me such a headache..
for me the twin is hard
Try using a technic where get of the wheel before attacking the Legendary Ships
@@Doritoz_Locoz_Tacoz For me the Prince was easy because I just stuck close to it and wasn't aware it relied on stealth.
El Impoluto is not a difficult ship to defeat, but it's a challenge to do. You have to dodge his attacks, and if the ship is ramming you. Use the back of the Jackdaw, cover yourself, and use every weapon you have (barrels, mortar, and canyons) when you can use it.
This is the best Assassin's Creed game in my opinion and the legendary ships were insane to fight, the music makes it ten times better
I just got it and beat the main story line imma play again to beat legendary ships
To this year I still haven't beta all of them 🤣
Nope the Assassin mission is boring so repetitive only tail, tail, tail, tail.
@@arik2216 Your boring.
@@arik2216 the tail and follow missions are boring but the other parts are good

The scenery ,the vibes , the whole game will always be my favorite..
Amazing legendary ship battles love it ❤️
thank you for watching!
@@MrEdxwx thanks you for the videos man
Here’s a tip for anyone who wants to sink those annoying man o wars with mortars. When they attack with mortar, just spam speed up and slow down every second and it will screw up their aim because they aim toward where you’re aiming to go
The way my smile dropped as soon as the music started when I first encountered the legendaries 😭
The royal navy watching as some random pirate schooner sinks their biggest first rates:
The scariest one in my opinion will always be the Dama Negra. You just see this random ship staying still expecting it to be easy game, only then to realise that you can barely damage her with cannons and ramming and in the meantime she'll keep bombing you with tons of mortar shots and broadsider cannons. Idk it just gives those vibes of undefeatable that only few bosses give
I’ve always wanted a mixture of Black Flag, Pirates of the Caribbean Online, and Sea of Thieves. Just to take the best elements of all 3 games and make the perfect pirate game
sea of thieves is already perfect game
@@user-wr6dj4ib9o ehhhhhhhh
Imagine this on the ps5 or the Xbox series x 🔥👌🔥
Nah we just need a sequel or a whole new title from another developer
I know its a bit late but These settings are already better than xbox series x and ps5
A texture pack would be better.
While fitghting two legendary ships just care that ur not in middle
it's just good business
i recently bought this game, the legendary ships are insane.
Amazing game. Wanted to play this since i was little now I’m 23 years old can freely play it finally
One of the best assassins creed series
I remember the first time I had my Jackdown strong enough to face a man'o' war. When I met one, it was something like: "Hi Man' o' war, remember me?"
the theme for the legendary ships is soo good
Finishing the Legendaries Ships really makes the game too empty. That makes me want to actually complete the game once again to use “cheat” while fighting them so the game won’t save my progress and I can fight them as much as I want :D
Funny I did the same to unlock the dead man tell no tales cheat. I had to do 70 challenges which is long but it is worth it.
Heres some tips
the twin ship : treat is as if you're fighting 2 man o' wars, but destroy both of them together
- don't get sandwiched
HMS prince : be ready, she's sneaky. but it's still a normal man o' war
- try your best to track her
El Impoluto : side cannons and weak point will be your best bet
- when she wants to ram you, run in the same direction to minimize damage
- before she rams you, use barrels. after she rams you, use cannons and weak point
- her side is weak, unlike the beak
La Dama Negra : fire at the back of her, that's where she's weak
-always be prepared to slow down so you can move easier
The black lady becomes a joke if you just chase her. Its so sad how you can win it by just constantly ramming into her.
@@jeremycocciolone9223 i guess she also takes damage from her own mortars if you chase her and slow her down with the ram and front cannons
The ghost ship would've been a much tougher fight and epic if the fog made the ship disappear and reappear for surprise attacks. It'd make sense and be hella creepy.
Those monsters really give me chills
I ABSOLUTELY remember seeing those two Man O’ Wars in the game, and being too scared to fight them.
Also, I really just love Assassins Creed, 2,3, and 4. They hold a special place in my assassination susceptible heart.
U made me wanna play again this awesome game
Thanks and take care!!!!
This and Pirates of the Caribbean 2003 PC game are my all time favourites
Those twin ships were the last ones I had to beat to unlock the achievement and boy did they give me a lot of trouble
When i played that game there is nothing more epic than that to fight Legendary ship! The emotion is unmeasurable.
The only problem with HMS Prince is that he was just a normal Man'o War with just a high damage and a quite resistant armor, it was not that difficulty. (He also doesn't appear on the minimap, I kinda like that mechanic since it is suppose to be a ghost ship.)
Thank you. The number of cannon shot really puts some perspective on a documentary i viewed recently. 👍
Coming here because i'm disappointed with how Skull & Bones looks like
Man i miss this game, i can spend hours just initiate war, create chaos or just circle around the sea, good times
your mortar aim hurts my soul.
The biggest drawback imo is that the canon reload speed was ridiculously fast. So every shot is kinda oh cool a shot. Back then every shot is count and important. aim is more important than spamming shots. In this game the faster you spam the faster you win
But not the fact we have a brig sinking 1st rates like nothing?
@@damnsonwheredyoufindthis.3830 Funny thing the jackdaw is a brig with the same firepower as some 5/4th rates with a total of 56 guns (sides and front)... So in paper the Jackdaw is a brig... In reality is more like a 6 rate on steroids with a naval ram and mortars
Best part of Assassin's Creed games ever! I am never forget this game!
This is still the best game in the assassins creed series. Not necessarily the best "assassins creed" but the best game overall. There's simply nothing else quite like black flag and its a shame.
God damn the el impoluto fight was impressive, at one point you literally gave them a taste of their own medicine - being poked in the back
Title should be:frigate on steroids takes on man o wars
The biggest fumble Ubisoft did is not giving us choose your ship mechanics, would’ve love to try any of these legendary ships out 😭
Its a fun hobby to defeat them all, I did it a few times, but I heard that you can get on the legendary ships if you time it correctly..
I got on two of them, El Impoluto and La Dama Negra, pretty funny
I did it to el impoluto but i realise it was quite boring to get in the ships, i mean you can easily kill them from the inside but where is the fun to that.
Right now i can easily bully the El impoluto, the ghost and the armored ship
But i struggle on defeating the twin ships
@@dudeguy3243 Heres a tip, if you destroy one the other one will light itself on fire and try to ram you, so a thing you can do is get them both at low health so it wont be much of a problem.
@@LocalDemocracyOfficer well when the white ship tries to ram me. I use the chasers to slow it down
And i immediately position myself so i can ram it. And also when i am at its broadsides. I go to half sails to slow down and use chasers again to ram and heavy shot. It got my adrenaline up dude XD

To this day this is the best AC game in my opinion
My first legendary ship encounter was like 4 years ago. I invaded Dry Tortuga then that weird cross appeared on the corner of the map. I was really weak then, but I decided to check it out. Yop, I started with the strongest one. It killed me in less than 2 minutes.
But after I finished the game and got all upgrades I attacked then again. I took out the ones on the southern part first try, but the other ones still killed me. Even tho I defeated them it was still really hard
I like it how the music accurately fits the naval battles
frrr
I'm here because I wish Skull and Bones was like this 😢
the hms prince really felt like a ghost ship and man did i love fighting it, hope well get more fights like that if they ever do blackflag 2
When you kill one of the twins the other one transforms into el impoluto
Dang right, the ship scared the crap out of me.
I did 2 tries to beat it, you just need to delete their health in a small amount and kill the black one. When the white ship comes, immediately position yourself and use chaser cannons and bully it with ram and heavy shot.
@@dudeguy3243 the most satisfing thing is slowing them with chaser cannos and ram them like a rhino espacially the elite one you can boost the ram befor hitting them
@@jeanbalsec3310 ikr same thing
And to this day I still wish we could change ships in this game, I mean come on we're using a Brig on a fight against f**king Man'o Wars
First time i played this on medium 768p and month ago i mastered it on 65"4k oled on ultra
65" sucks
@@yannickfrogel3537 yea, i played on 77" too, its better

As before this video, I ran into El Inpluto. I just talked to James Kidd after killing Dun Cassso. I didn't have a chance 💀
