I love how the recent tournaments have all had 9 vil starts. I've been playing regicide for years because of how it speeds up dark age. Especially after playing Zerg in SC2 I couldn't go back to 3 vil. Only on nomad.
I like 3 vill starts. Changes build orders scouting and even civ balance too much for my tastes, but I understand why people like more vill starts. Dark Age is usually pretty dull. But it's important for scouting and stuff

Conqs are easy to beat. Skirms and halbs. Skirms for the conqs, and halbs for the light cav. But especially early game when there aren't a ton of conqs. Skirms clean them up quickly.

organ gun needs ff. that's it. the moment it starts killing your units as well it'll become a support situational unit and not just a solution to everything melee.
in the Franks v Slavs one I was surprised that Yo decided on paladin and halbs, in my opinion from the very beginning the composition should have been paladin, hand canon in the main army and light cavalry from time to time raiding the rear/ going for the monk, treb stuff.

Was cool to see the unique ships clutch for Jordan though Game 3: Dream start for Yo on nomad = GG Game 4: Boyars wreck for Jordan on Batman map. Game 5: Exciting Socotra game. Heresy is broken. It almost entirely anuls the value of monks. I think not having it be available to all civs is too large of a power difference. Maybe heresy should be split like faith/devotion - 50% chance for each tech. I think that it should also be available to elephant civs; it would make elephants much more viable without stopping monks being a counter to them. Losing a very expensive, tanky unit to instant death and not being able to close the distance to kill the monks still sucks, even without the huge obstruction converted elephants pose.
Can anyone explain what advantage, if any, there was for Jordan to continue to stick with monks in G1 after Yo researched heresy? Why didnt he switch to something else right away?
Jordan had block printing earlier and there did not seem an reachable alternative. You can create a few light cavalry, but just a few aren't enough if there are 15 opposing monks with some organ guns.
Finally, a not smallest map video! Don't get me wrong they're entertaining bur after 4 of them back to back they got a lot less entertaining. A sprinkle instead of a tide of releases would be better, a mix of content.

It'd be great, if you could implement the picks of the civs and maps in the description of the video (without spoilers obviously). ideally with timestamps for jumping towards the map with the civs one wants to see. i. e. in the future TTL groupstage, as they are play-all-three, civpicks and maps with timestamps. i'm pretty sure i'm not the only one wanting to see certain civs. in a bo5/7 etc. only the first 3/4 maps and picks to avoid spoilers. i really enjoy your content and i think this would be a great addition. i'd love to hear your thoughts on this. best regards

Conqs are easy to beat. Skirms and halbs. Skirms for the conqs, and halbs for the light cav. But especially early game when there aren't a ton of conqs. Skirms clean them up quickly.
