The All-Devouring Narwhal can’t be an Aeon simply due its lack of strength and the fact that it is a “pet”.
Also Aeons are being that exists to embody a path, but this path aren’t just simple concept, they are a way of existence. Be it Hunt, Beauty, Destruction, and any other path the Aeons embodies, their path are all representative of a way someone can live/approach living.
The problem with the Narwhale is that it does follow a path, that of Voracity, seeing as it senselessly eats at Teyvat’s waters. However, there is already an Aeon of that path, which is Ouroboros.
If anything, the Narwhale is at best a follower of Ouroboros’ path that ended up in Teyvat.
I’m pretty sure Genshin, star rail and any other Honkai game takes place in different universe that’s why the company is called Hoyoverse after all plus welt in star rail is the same welt in hi3 who traveled to another universe so they all take place in different universes plus the narwhal is said to be a star beast and was able to be beat by neuvillette who has power on a planetary scale while the aeons are powerful on a universal scale
they travel worlds, not universe. Universe is the same - imaginary tree (+sea)
3:00 Personally, i don't think Narwhal qualifies for a descender, since we learned that it's not just being outside of Teyvat that is a requirement but having a will that can rival a world is needed. Narwhal doesn't strike me a creature with enough will (or even conscious for that matter) to rival all of Teyvat
3:40 I actually think it might have something to do with Surtalogi, as it also kinda reminds me of Childe's Foul Legacy (I'm pretty sure it has Childe's synth motif in the 2nd phase OST too). The description of Lightless eye of the Maelstorm says:
"...But the heavy "substance" in your hand doesn't feel real, as if it was only a shadow of the All-Devouring Narwhal's prey. Perhaps you only fought the echoes from the depths of the universe."
So, to me, it almost seems like the shadow we fight is just remnants of something Narwhal ate long ago, possible past disciple of Surtalogi or Skirk, and that we will actually see the real deal in the future (probably childe or Surtalogi with the full transformation)
3:50 Specifically it says "birthing water" and Neuvillette says in act 5, after Narwhal's first arrival:
"Neuvillette: It has been greedily consuming the energy from the planet's Primordial Sea, using it to grow. That is the main cause for the rising sea levels...
Neuvillette: And once it has finished consuming all of the energy contained within the Sea, its next step will be...

So i took it as reference to this, since it left the sea to hunt for Fontainians, meaning it most likely consumed a good portion of the sea for it to go for smaller targets
I do wonder how specifically the shattered space-time works. I think all of the other bosses (outside of Andrius) function on leyline memory stuff, wonder if has something to do with leylines too (since, i would assume, any effect on space can also affect the leylines in that space)
