In Friedenberg your mission is to help design solutions for renewable energy and improve the city’s infrastructure during the campaign. Aside from these larger jobs, you’ll get assorted tasks to test out every bit of equipment that you earn. Take pride in your accomplishments as you ride through the city!

Drae got a tip for the concrete pump. You can actually use the spacebar to start and stop pumping. Makes it a lot easier than having to press F and turn it off and on that way.
Not that you need to. I read a comment on the last video that said that if you poor concrete outside of the marked area, it isn't consumed.

Drae Some tips for you to make you life easier.
- You know you can fill the concrete mixer or the dump truck in the function menu. You can even sell the soil (or any material you can put in a dump truck) you excavate during the jobs. Selling is done via the function menu with the helper or if you drive to the gravel plant and unload it there. Useful if you need a bit of extra cash.
- And you dont waste concrete, it only empties while you are above the pour area.
- Job scope determines how much work you can/ have to do during a job( like excavating, pouring concrete, etc).
- Job stages can be reset in the job menu, should fix your bridge issue.

I love how he just assumed the concrete would spill out of the pour area, without actually doing any experimentation to confirm it's true or not. Which ended up being why he never learned anything... he spent so much time trying to avoid going out of the lines, that he didn't stop to test if the game would even let him or not.
And an addition to job scope that you forgot: You can change the scope. Higher scope means more work but higher payment

@@CoreyStansbery he was definitely crankier in this one, but honestly quite a few of his problems to day wouldn’t have been issues if he took more time to read directions and learn game mechanics. I mean yes there definitely are some bugs (like the concrete pumper getting stuck in the pier thing), and from what I can tell not having played it myself but having watched a lot they could do a lot better job of explaining certain things. just winging it like he does can be funny sometimes but not when he’s angry about it 😢

I love how the screen dramatically went black and white as Drae got overly dramatic about not being able to place something.
It's like the game knew how you felt, and was trying say, "I feel ya, bro."
I think with the drilling part you were meant to go to the second area at that point, as there was another spot you could go to it seems.

You're the discount construction man.
The Rotory Driller stopped working because you had finished that hole, you just needed to go drill the other one. Also you can change the job scope before accepting the contract and it will require that you complete the tasks more to a high degree than the medium scope makes you.
This comment is what i needed. Haven't bought the game because i thought the tasks are too easy. Thanks to you its now bought. I need myself a challenege
You could even see the outline at one point... shame when the cool tasks get skipped
I think that orange circle is showing it’s unfinished though isn’t it? That’s like the digging progress circle and it’s like 2/3 full
He did in fact not finish the first hole. You can see it on the progress bar in the upper left. Although the pipe was all the way down, he would just have had to extend the drill further down to finish it. Dig out a bit of extra dirt, I dunno.
I absolutely love that you stood around waiting for daylight, and it's cool to get that insight into the strange little behind-the-scenes things content creators deal with.
You know the crane has a winch, you can lower items using that instead of just using the boom, love watching your videos 😁

Drae, you can change the job difficulty, lol. When you hover over where it says "Job Scope", click on the two arrows that'll appear to change the job's difficulty
Drae should start " I knew nothing about this " series, it'll be hella popular 😂.
For the drill you need to lower the actual drill part separately to keep drilling deeper once the main part stops.
Usually if machine bug out, storing them will fix them.

@@akashsarkar2001-r5k no he didn't finish the first hole properly. He needed to lower the auger (not the casing) more to finish drilling the last bit. It works fine but it's not really well explained.

I wonder when Drae was editing this he realized that he completed 1 of 2 drill spots and saw the blue outline of the next.
The mobile crane have retractable cables that you can lower it just like tower crane, so you don't have to rely only on arm adjustment

You can move the whole thing up and down with W and S and the long „stick“ with the drill at the bottom with the arrow keys just like the hook at a tower crane
Watching someone use a drill rig who has no clue is priceless!!!! Honestly they are amazing machines to run in real life!!!!

Get the big crane for the rest of the bridge deck. It reaches so much further so you don't have to reset as much. Maybe use your backhoe to flip the piece. It looked like it move easy with the crane pushing it.
Drae I’ve been playing CS so the last week and I’m honestly hooked! Thank you for always being such an entertaining YTer. You actually got me to branch out of my normal game preferences.

Drae you can flip cargo/components by walking up to them, cant remember the keybind but you can flip them
Pretty awesome to see Liebherr equipment when the company I work in actually works with Liebherr in manufacturing their cranes.
Just a little tip man, if you cbf with excavation for a foundation, just take the dozer and lower the front and just drive. Works with foundation, trench digging and really anything that involves and excavator.

18:15 You usually can walk up to an object and press G to flip it upside
in this game when concrete is being poured onto non-marked areas it doesn't register it. So basically no concrete can go to waste
We're enjoying this one, so devs, please help Drae out. We know sometimes(maybe a lot of times) Drae does comically derp things, but these are some legit bugs.

The crane one was too, he should have just used the large crane from the beginning and also understood that it has a cable that he can use to raise and lower. A bunch of these situations came up because he frankly didn't understand how to use the equipment. That said, I think they need to assume people are going to play without bothering to learn the game.

This a fun game to play. But Drae you make all games more interesting very entertaining. I look forward to building this one myself.

I had that first issue yesterday (on PS4) when trying to bulldoze the lot for the warehouse contract. I had to force quit the game also, but everything was fine when I went back. Not sure what's up, but I expect that when a game is still new. I'd accept release dates a month or two later if those game breaking errors weren't an issue.
okay, Drae, I am in the astragon discord (and have been helping with players having issues with the game by giving work arounds.). The bugs you have encountered are not new. In order to fix the flatbed with crane, go to your warehouse tab, store everything, and your flatbed will be back to normal. The bug you encountered with the drilling rig is a game sync issue. Restarting the game will bring you back to normal. You would have been able to finish the drilling by running the other set in followed by filling them both with concrete.
also, the cable on the crane can go up and down
For the job scope - you can change to low/medium/high. High is more picky, but pays more
Don’t worry Drae, I’ve broke the game so many times as well! A lot of the same issues. I’ve also come across a bug where when you’re driving, it lag jumps back but still reads it at normal speed. You might be moving at 5 mph but the game is registering it at 65 mph. Weird to explain.

With the drill all you had to do was drop the auger into the hole to finish it. That little bit has to be finished with the machines augor.

@Drae my comment is pretty late, so i don't know if this will reach you. i had the exact two problems and this is how to fix them:
1. you can send items back to your company, which are stuck on your flatbed
2. the loading and entering vehicle issue should be fixed, when you verify your files through steam (if a reload doesn't fix it)

look at your video right at 10:00 mins and if you look at it you will see the hole you was trying to do was done but there was other one for you to dig but good video love it man keep it up
Drae got a tip for the Crain to use the up and down arrows to mack the hook goes up and down
The job scope you change yourself, So low is less to do, and high takes longer, its a dynamic difficulty setting

For large concrete pouring jobs, I’ve rented two cement trucks and had them both pouring into the concrete crane at the same time. I’m not sure if it helps but I like to think it works lol

before accepting the contract, change the job scope to high, then you'll really have some work to do. But you get paid way more.

8:12 Well this gives me bad memories. Back when I was a young child some bullies dropped me into an unfinished basement shaft at a construction site that was set to be filled with concrete the next day. I was there for five hours before the police managed to find me in the middle of the night.
You can fast fill equipment at the job site like concrete and soil and sand with out leaving the job site
Someone teach this man how to use a crane. "Lowest I can go" hahaha, not even utilizing the crane like it's suppose to be used. Accidently starts pouring concrete and blames the game for not turning it off automatically. It did exactly like you said, except you started it yourself. Great episode though :P

Before you select the mission you can change job scope which I assume easy means less involving and hard being most involving.

Drae you can change the level of the job from medium to low to high in the job contract menu before you accept it. I just did this job yesterday on high and it turned 1.4M. I also spent more money an time getting it done with extra tasks involved. Great game just needs some fixing haha

to be fair must admit was kinda suprised the game woulld actualy let you fall into the hole instead of there being an invicible wall(floor) there

As a construction worker maybe now people will understand why construction takes so long. There’s always unexpected sets backs, high costs and everything is done by a guy.
Top tip you can raise and lower items by lowering and raising the hook rather than lowering your boom
When you go to accept a job, when it says "medium", you can change it to easy or hard. you'll get more money for the "hard" scenario, but it also takes longer.
Bro, do you even game..
1. just go to a gas/service station to repair/refuel
2. drilling just require 2x foring pushed down, then reset position and force the drill down while spinnning it. fille it with concrete when hole is at 75% .., easy..
3. Concrete pump (hold space to pump) release to stop, refill the truck by using the "f" menu and click Refill. also easy.
4. fast reset of crane/pump position without moving the vehicle can be done on "backspace"
5. Reset items by walking up to them and hold "G", like when sometimes when things are flipped upside down..
For the record, I also had issues with the drill. I got to the same exact 65% on the first hole and it would not let me progress. Had to skip the task as well.
you have to push the auger down after the casing goes all the way into the ground to finish drilling the hole. it's not really well explained.

you can set the difficulty of the job. easy is for than the game does most and the medium is for you to do more things and hard is for you to do the whole job yourself. please for the information
so it's not how hard the job is but the degree you want to do
i had that issue with my flat bed crane truck and i put it in storage and removed it and it removed the load and fixed the issue. also where it says medium you can change that to low med and high for the scope of the job and make more or less money depending on your choice. also had the same issue with that drilling rig and also skipped the task. its got some serious bugs
That's because equipment gets fixed automatically in storage, or you can do it manually at a gas station.
You can go into the concert trucks menu and auto fill it so you don’t have to back to the plant and realign the trucks. Also the other lady I think for environmental pays almost 2 million for the first job so you can afford some stuff
Also you can return unused concrete and other materials in dump trucks to get money back
its really frustrating when drae doesnt see things that are in plain view
I had the same problem. It wouldn't finish. I came on RUclips to see if anyone had the same problem. And yes. I hate to skip it. I might just cancel it until they get it fixed.

Is was very obvious why the drill wasn’t digging deeper because the first foundation was finished but you somehow didn’t see the second drill point
