@@themirlabs I would definitely recommend it it's pretty fun and if you like relaxing games it's kind of relaxing and you're also a good way to come up with your own recipes if you do all grain
as a homebrewer for 12+ years this game is very accurate. brewing is a science and all the info in game are accurate to real life recipes. it's great to see someone learn from the game like I did reading books and magazines. it's hilarious to see someone wing a beer recipe and hope for the best. keep up the good work drae.
Yay, another brewing episode. I actually got so inspired by your last video on this game, I went out and got me a beginners beer brewing kit. Hopefully it turns out well...
Short update; I just bottled the fermented mix and now awaits a couple weeks of post fermentation. I also poured a glass of what was left in the bottom and I am glad to say: I don't have any "off" flavours, it tastes kinda like a flat IPA that was a bit strong (I would guess ~6.5%). I'll be using less spraymalt for this next batch that I'm preparing right now :)
Tbh I really like watching this, I wonder how working with brewers and contest would work, but seeing you mess around and loosely follow a recipe is really fun (bonus points for the game not being harsh when you color outside of the lines), plus all the little fridge magnets and decorations and new tools is also really cool. So yes please play more!
as a future tip, make sure any time you're doing a transfer, to always use a hose for it, you don't want to just pour from the pot into the fermentation container, because it adds "contamination" and you don't want that if you want to keep the "off" flavors down
I actually played this myself but got really confused, now that I've watched how to play it i might give it another go. definitely keep the series going, love it.
As a friend of the devs, I'm very glad you would like to see more of the label maker. They had a lot of code problems with it for a long time in development :')
The flavor most people associate with chocolate is after sugar has been added. Chocolate by itself is naturally bitter so it makes sense that it might be used to flavor a beer. I've never brewed beer, but my brother got into it for a while. He dealt with "clarity" by pouring the fermented brew through a paper coffee filter. He said the cloudiness is from the dead yeast suspended in the liquid. Is a filter available in the game? I have made wine. It's a much simpler process and doesn't taste like horse pee.
So I am a bit a strange person for the fact that I have never drank any alcohol but I have brewed and helped brew maybe 10,000 gallons of different types of beers so i know the science and the processes to making the beer. This game is very detailed but its missing a couple steps to the beer making. (Unless its coming later) The beer keeps coming out hazy because its not getting cleaned while its fermenting. You would normally transfer the beer to another container and leave behind the wort. You would transfer it ever 7 days. There is also an enzyme that does nothing to the beer but will cause all the solid to clump together and make the beer clearer. Also the game doesn't appear to have you measure gravity. You use gravity to measure alcohol content. Also different beers go into different bottles depending on level of carbonation, color, and alcohol percentage. Some beers even want to cold shocked. After the final boil you wait till it to around 150 degrees and if for every 4 gallons of water, It hit it with 8-10 pounds of ice to shock it cold. Usually for darker thick beers that you want a rich flavor. My Dad and I were going to start a brewery but sadly he passed away. I still all the recipes and notes we made so I might still start the brewery anyway.
I use to make wine back in the late 80's . Your percent alcohol can be given by the formula: ABV(%) = (Initial Gravity - Final Gravity) * 131.25. So if your initial gravity was 1.108, and your final gravity was 1.041, your beer is approximately 8.79% alcohol by volume. Once again, this is only an approximation. an Hydrometer will give you the gravity Likening the sim games you play 👍
As soon as I saw the measurement mechanics I gasped out loud "oh it's made by *cooking sim* people oh *no*" as I immediately understood the gravity of the situation
Build still works in the context Drae. Technically you are starting with water, herbs, and yeast. Mix/Brew/Build from the ground up, so to speak. Doubt he'll see the comment but eh, still no worries Drae.
Drae. I have ro first say im nota brewer, but I think the cloudiness is deside by how much you move the containers around, or how fast you pour the mix between the container. Im just guessing here.
this is a real cool series, but one thing its lacks is the amount of cleaning and sterilizing. (I know, Sim games won't have EVERYTHING,) but cleanliness and sanitization is very important to brewing. when I brew at home, it seems like I'm cleaning for twice as long as I'm brewing
It is not that bad that your beer is hazy ,as a real homebrewer with as little chemistry as possible beer is everytime hazy. I am living in Germany with the Reinheitsgebot ("Clean-law") and even they are using chemistry to make a clear beer.
It's really cool they have an "Untappd" rating on there. Fun fact my brother in law was an early adoper of that app and was one of the first 2 people to check in Coors Light
Would be alot better if they had something outside the gameplay, like seeing people drinking what you have made or something, so if you put rat poisoning in it, they would keel over in game 😅 We don't see anything outside that house or what it is...
keep the series going Drae really enjoying the complexity of this one.
I agree. I really enjoy watching Drae make beer on this series. I hope he keeps it going for a long time.
As a home brewer myself I love this game, they have it down to a tea cuz this is very accurate as far as measurements, temps, fermentation, and steps go
I'm curious if Dre was to cool the wart in the fridge prefermentation and after fermentation before conditioning if it would help his clarity
The saying's "down to a T" lmao
As a newb who has been trying to learn brewing for the past few years would you recommend this game to learn a few recipies?
@@borttorbbq2556 It would I in real life but in the game you cannot put it in the fridge after it's filled

I brewed some simple beer with my dad once. It’s a super fun project
let us know when its done
@@georgiwenckovsky9748 Absolutely, today I poured some extra brew sugar into the fermentation bottle to hopefully bump the alcohol content to ~5%

Keep this a series. It is a simple concept (Make Beer) and yet so complex.
Grind through it!! This gets more interesting each episode. Let's see you gain that rep and start selling your home brews.

This is a super in depth and cool game! Until we have an episode full of frustration and we get a Drae's "Pain Ale", we wanna see more lol
As a german with a specific brew purity command, i can say its very detailed
I can't wait for more! This is the first series I've been interested in in a while 😊
I sooo wanna see some more of this series
This is hilarious, I home brew finer details omitted are crucial but you faffing about cracks me up
I actually played this myself but got really confused, now that I've watched how to play it i might give it another go. definitely keep the series going, love it.
Yes! Please continue!😁😁😁 I absolutely love this! I get to learn how to brew beer and be entertained at the same time😄
"Well we're just gonna pour this 11 litres into this container with room for only half a litre & *_pray it doesn't overfl--_* oh."
lmao
You remind me of Graystillplay, he's one of my favorites. I play this game too on my ps4 and it's nice to see someone else enjoying this.
*Every german seeing this series*:
We will watch your career with great interest
And write down every violation of the "Reinheitsgebot" >:D
This is so soothing to watch.
Howdy been watching since the old robocraft days! Huge fan of the channel, keep up the amazing work! Hope series sticks around for a long while!
Great video Drae! Would love to see more!
Keep the series going. You might get to the cometitions in the next episode. They are close.
Enjoying this series mate your simulation games are 🔥
I'd watch more. I'd also like to see more of the label creating process. In any case, good content. Cheers.

Awsome game keep going man , another great video Drae.
I'm really liking this series! Please, keep it going until the end
REAL BEER! REAL FUN! REAL COOL! More Brewmaster!🍺
I had two wee heavies last night! They are high ABV and dark and malty, can have scotch notes
if you have made alot of beers in bulk you can click the (+) plus button beside the accept job and submit a beer for that job... EZ fast completion
yes please more brewing vids please.
When you nail the intro word for word almost on key and everything, she considered our marriage loool.
Please keep playing this, I love it
These two videos have been very fun to watch. If you like this game I would continue watching these videos
0:34 his tounge stuck in construction sim with the glitchs last time lel
For haziness if you go to the sink you can clean the pots and fermenting bucket and conditioner jug
was hopping for more of this, was not not disappointed

I learned something today Wee Heavy is another name for a Scotch ale with an ABV between 3.5% and 4%.
When using the cooler to hold temp put the lid on so the temp drops slower n you don't have to add as much hot water to maintain the temp.
I vote for more episodes :)
more of this game please!!!
Plz keep it going

A wee heavy is a popular Scottish beer. Over here, wee means “small” and “pee”. It gets confusing sometimes 🍺
Play more brew masters it’s amazing try to make bourbon and even bud light
We need more
Yes keep going it's great
You should do a video on the new Manor Lord Demo, it's going to be a great game 👌🏼😏
Jeff guy leaving ya notes reminds me of Chubbs from happy Gilmore… and knowing you, your gonna accidentally kill him… with beer 😂

I haven't played and probably won't. But is the haziness from grabbing EVERYTHING from one pot to the other?
Hmm, potential new business venture? Build-A-Beer?
Heck yeah!
I wish there was a moonshine simulator, sadly junkyard truck is the only thing close and it's not a finish game.

yessssssssss please mooooooorrrreeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes
Drae should do an irl beer brewing video.
I don't know if you noticed, but you used the gifted picnic cooler, instead of the mash tun. No wonder your container overflowed :)
Keep it going 👍🏻😂
You should try making a beer using only fake ingredients, like no malt/grains or hops just corn sugar and extracts
Let's go we built beer
The dirt sharks…??
Is that a really niche reference to the detectorists (bbc programme about people who metal detect)?!
@drae you’ve got scammers again bro :(
moreeeee!!!
I will recommend to play infra on steam
Chocolate beer is a thing and its delicious
Les Goooooo another vid
Thoroughly enjoying this series so far, keep up the great work!
