When I was in primary school, someone clogged the toilet with toilet roll. The headteacher took it so seriously that she checked every single classroom and asked for the list of names who have been to the bathroom. It took them a week, but they figured it out. Like what Boy Ain't Right said, just as long as if they put this much dedication into stopping bullying...
A lot of primary school teachers act like this. One wonders if they just have nothing better to do.

I did the same thing, except I jammed paper towels down the drain. They said they would have the cops fingerprint wet paper towels. I was never caught.
Has happened to me when i burnt a piece of a tissue in the restroom. Some person smelled it and went directly to the administrator, and she questioned people for 2h just for a friend to snitching on me (was his idea, but he put the blame on me).
That's so peak that they showed which kids snitched on their mate lol

The school I went to had pretty much a system of weed and cigarette sellers and all of them were underage ,they usually exchanged money for weed in a abandoned part of the town about 1 kilometers away from the school.

It is, for they do not know the days or the hours of the random searches. Keeps the little numbskulls on their toes.
It’s a deterrent because you have to understand the school doesn’t actually wanna catch them it just wants to try and make them stop. If they catch them A) their futures will be ruined/greatly impacted in a negative way. And B) a lot of hassle and work for the school, not to mention it brings down their reputation.
