- OK gun nerds! I gave a preview a couple weeks ago of this World War II Russian submachine gun. This one is a modern reproduction made in Poland.
We’re taking a very close look at the inner workings of this firearm, we discuss the 7.62 Tokarev round, and do a limited amount of shooting.
If you’re one of those guys that complains about long-winded overviews, you should not watch this video. If, on the other hand, you are interested in as much detail as you can get in 29 minutes......then this is for you!
Great review! Thanks! Glad to hear that some of Americans really knows history of WWII. Thanks!
SBR and get the tax stamp. It is really stable with the folding stock out. Both my wife and son love it !
I'm thinking about doing that and just paying the tax.
Whats sbr
Paying a damn tax stamp boot lickers
"Pistols don't win wars" Darn straight...as anyone in Hiroshima or Nagasaki will attest to. Great video, I picked up one of these a little over a year ago and love it. If you have trouble finding a parts kit you could always weld the stock in the open position, with appropriate paperwork. Not as cool as a functional stock, but would still let you have shoulder support.
The new version coming from Poland have a different design on the bolt.
They leave it full length but mill a slot in the center of it for the hammer to strike the firing pin
Simplification Effective like everything Russian
Nice video! I just bought one and waiting for it to arrive, It should be fun, cant wait too shoot it.
Love mine , never jams , cleans so easy
The Button is not on the side it is at the top. The thing you call the button is the swing point for the stock.
I love mine. I have 4 in various configurations & two kits to go…. For now…. ! Reliable darn toot’n shooter.
Whatever you say, the voice of the Russian PPS-43 was the last voice many of the Germans ever heard in their lives. I would erect a big monument to PPS-43 right in the center of Berlin, just as a reminder.
I got one on it's way to my ffl and I am on the fence whether or not to sbr it, leaning towards doing it as I am mechanically inclined just gotta figure the paperwork end of it
I love this firearm I had the 9mm planning on getting the 7.62 but it just felt perfect and compact I ran I sling through the folding stock and the rear sling swivel and it just rested on the chest.
Jacob Mackinlay I ended up getting the SBR for mine. Bought a surplus kit did some cutting and a little bit of welding and believe me if you like it now imagine this sucker with a working stock. Night and day for accuracy
@@drdrake63 I could only imagine im definitely considering doing that as well but even using the sling as a push stock it was really accurate it's a fun plinker for sure
Few people know that it was precisely according to Bezruchko-Vysotsky’s paragraph that PPS-43 was created
Would be a good kid brother to the M44.
Thanks for the reply. The problem I had was the trigger spring came out of its groove. Also, the trigger spring is flimsy.
That's awesome
I don't know too many people that have one and call it crap. They love them. With your amount of misfires, I would check the mag lips and tune and file if need be. Since it's a pistol and legal to carry in some states, nothing says "back the hell up, I'm not your victim" faster then one of these things coming out. Lol. Carrying It would be like john Holmes wearing a speedo with a chubby. Not really practical to do, but awesome.
I like mine, but limp wristing this pistol can result in stovepipes. Do not bump fire this either. A RUclipsr did and broke the hammer on his. The entire TG is attached to the receiver with one huge rivet-John in Texas
This device was developed by the designer Sudaev! Do not demonstrate your illiteracy!
what a nice one
Fun question for you guys, which is best for the Z war ' zombies' my thinking is tokerav pistol 7-62x25 SKS 7-62 x39 and baikil 12 gauge , all Russian guns I know , but in this scenario I'm arming a group or a village type place that has been fortified beforehand and cost $$ was an issue,
Come on guys this could be informative ooh forgot this pps43 for the internal security within the compound in case the outer wall is breached
You need a girlfriend!
Othink she should have the SKS or the PPS43 with or without the TOKERAV?? I'm thinking the PPS43 with the TOKERAV, what do you think
Decimus Rex hey found a girlfriend and she thinks the PPS with the pistol is a great idea and all thanks to you mate you f ever I can do anything for you just ask thank you thank you
9 mm version is cheap fun pretty accurate gun if u can steady it would love to be able to shoulder it someday
Yes still cheaper but have you priced 9 mm recently not cheep any morr
Should i get the tokarev version or the 9mm version? Feel like the 9mm version will be easier to find ammo for
Most problems I’ve heard of are the 9mm version
@@drdrake63very true as the round is shorter and can have feeding issues
Great video. Thanks.. Awesome gun... just got one to myself couple month ago. Having ejection issues though. . Hope it's just ammo... not easy to find it even online for reasonable price. Lots are sold out or backordered... also maybe you can make a short video on bolt disassembly
yegor arshanyan Here’s what I found. When you try shooting this thing without any kind of support it causes cycling issues. Try putting a sling on and holding it out to provide stabilization. You will find that your ejection issues go away. Also, a friend of mine got his SPR paperwork and extended the stock. He had some feeding issues before and outside of the occasional hiccup there are none there now
If you bought aluminum case ammo, that would explain it.
@@drdrake63 Again, you must provide a firm grip or this pistol will stovepipe-John in Texas
Just got one my self
Hopefully in another 500 years when the silly NFA is finally repealed, we can restore these to its original form.
I want this bad boy!
So you have to remove some rivets to take out the barrel?
Where does one get a barrel for these? Only missing piece of the puzzle.
Его создали в блокадном Ленинграде в окружении, об этом забыл сказать!
🇫🇮kp-44 is just 9mm Sudajev .
DUX West Germany later
I wouldn't mind buying this gun but.. It's pretty hard to find one
Just go to Centerfiresystems.com:
www.centerfiresystems.com/p-3334-polish-pps43-c-pistol-762x25-with-4-35rd-mags.aspx
Unlike some others who use the present crises to not answer the phone, they do!
And, at this time they show "10+" in stock, and for $399.99 I don't believe you can get it cheaper.
Soviet 7,62 is jus +p+ Mauser 7,63mm Bolo loved so much.
And lack of drill rifle ammo 7,62 mm Mosin , wait The Nagant 1895 revolver❤… då
Poland originally made the PPS 43 from 1950 to 1955
Huffffff el 7.62x25 es el mejor cartucho de municion para pistolas , caravinas y fusiles posee algo q ningún otro cartucho tiene es mejor que el 5.56 x 45 bendiciones
Wait, so these are new production and not built off parts kits?
Because the BATFE doesn't want anyone to own an easily converted closed bolt gun-John in Texas
Этот пистолет пулемёт Судаева лучший за всю Вторую Мировую Войну !
Он и сейчас даст просраться многим современным пистолетам пулемётам , по пробитию ему мало кто может конкурировать.
że co ? że niby nabój mausera , 7, 63 skopiowany taki mocny , to strasznie gówniana broń dalej jak 50 metrów
Have you had a problem with the trigger spring being weak causing misfires?
No issues
As I understand, it has a "light" hammer, and can have "primer-strikes" with the cheaper old Soviet surplus steel cased ammo.
@@tomt373 Thanks for responding, but it is not the ammunition-it is the trigger spring. Also, you have to be careful that the spring does not come out of its groove-then it is worse.
@@tomt373 anyway to remedy that? Or are you SOL if that happens. Just got one, was shooting it yesterday and I got a ton of primer strikes. I've got czech surplus ammo
@@Sibbos6 Dang. I am looking into someone making a better hammer/spring kit for it. There is one outfit that does improve these, but they have a back-log and do not even answer e-mails. I have been meaning to take mine to a local gun-smith'ing outfit that does modifications to AR stuff, and talk to them about ours.
Meanwhile, I learned long ago to stay away from old surplus Soviet made ammo, or any with the following problems:
1.) Steel case. Usually, as well as hard primers, these also come with corrosive primers that demand you non-chrome lined barrel get cleaned thoroughly and soon, along with the chamber, which can get pitted.
2.) Aluminum case-I have had these stick on ejection and tend to "stove-pipe"
Meantime, if you want to cycle your "dud's", I suggest that you do as I did and buy a surplus pistol in the 7.62x25 caliber (they go for around $220) and re-check them:
ruclips.net/video/ubWhjILCusY/видео.html
If nothing else, it gives you a decent personal protection truck/car-gun to justify buying the better ammo for.
For buying the ammo, I always go to "ammoseek.com", and filter out the non-brass cased stuff.
That usually eliminates the old junk ammo.
Unfortunately the round is just not super cheap anymore and it's more costly than 9 mm so I'd rather have a 9 mm version I think.
To help you out, the 9mm version has mixed reliability reports in terms of feeding and extracting. Just to help you out
Pistols don't win wars, but the PPS 43 wasn't a pistol in WW2.
good a very nice introdsuce
The only down side of this gun is finding Replacement Firing pins
convert it to full auto hahahaha
both are right on the western front it was the 45 on the eastern front is was the 762x25 could not beat them for house to house fighting with there caliber machine guns
Teraz wiem jak wyjąć pusty nabój
1:40 sorry, but the saying goes like: better is the enemy of good
to nie Tokarew tylko Sudajew
Not anymore Two mags crappy plastic oil bottle
Who in their right mind want a ten pound pistol?
The weight reduces recoil so you can get back on target quickly.
It has a fake folding stock, and basic sites and a 35 round magazine. With a sling you can do a spray &pray. To actually hit anything id use my Tokarov.
It was a waste of money.
Великий ПП !
This was a polish pistol not a Russian thought wasn't it?
Negative. The Russians invented it-John in Texas
