whoaaa man you're genius.....This is one of the most underrated blender tutorial in youtube
Great tutorial! I needed to understand this so I can add FK controls to an existing character rig that only has IK controls. So hard to animate proper overlapping action without FK. Thank you so much!
Thank you for doing this update to an important rigging skill
Oh thank you! Such a wonderful tutorial
I've Watch this whole video several times and I think it would be helpful to name the bones in the future. It is hard to go back to the video and it would also be nice to see how you would paint weights to ik part also.
Ik for situations where you need the hand to stay in place for example push something or hold on a bar, Fk for arc movements, like the arms when we walk :), thanks for the tutorial bro, you saved me!
Hahaha when those dogs started loool. Great tutorial cheers brother
Excellent tutorial! as a beginner to rigging and blender in general, this core essential really helped with setting up a skeleton.
only minor issue is that when i move an IK hand bone, then reset it's location, the pose doesn't update until i select any bone in the armature again. not sure if this'll be a big issue during posing and animating or even an issue to begin with, but it was a minor problem i was having and trying to research until i just let it be. something about cyclic dependencies, but i'm not sure.
FK=Classical Dance/Ballet
IK=Breakdance
Yes/No?
Absolutely great!
I still love it! Great! Wonderful!
Thanks for the tut. Really helpful.
Great tutorial, thank you.
GREAT! GREAT! GREAT! !!!!!!!!!! :)
Great video!! Only one thing, if you can name video more informative way, maybe it will make your videos more interesting to tap on it. 😁 By the way this is my subjective opinion!
FK/IK Switch in Blender 2.8x was just what I was looking for!!! therefore, the perfect name for the video. what would you suggest if that is pretty clear?? can't think of anything clearer than that
i am searching for months for hands rig you had shown in this video could you make a tutorial of how to make it....
Thanks
Good tutorial, just one question! Did you have a runny nose during the recording? The constant sniffing is very distracting just like the dogs bit. Maybe don't record with a runny nose in future just a helpful suggestion as no fault with the tutorial.
This is the only good tutorial on this information I have found. But the sniffing drove me nuts!
Like!
Not compatible with ' industry compatible' hotkeys. Pretty hard to follow when you have to figure out manually how to do evertyhing you do with hotkeys without explanations. Keep that in mind for your next tutorial please. 19:30 you cut the video, skipping how you added the snap to ik switch. That was the moment i knew that i need another tutorial.
Blender is better used with hotkeys, not through a contextual menu. The snap to ik switch is just driving the influence bar in the bone constrain. With a little extra work you can infere how to make your own drivers, check this video ruclips.net/video/suP14lYWpN8/видео.html and this one ruclips.net/video/F6ljpNdrdNE/видео.html
Yeah this video is not good at all.
