- I am running a marathon and running every day in 2024, which means running shoes are a must. In this video, I go over my 2024 running shoe rotation and what running shoes I use for marathon training and running every day. Beyond the shoes I am currently running in, I waned to share my thought process that goes into how I select a shoe to meet a specific need for my running shoe rotation.

Good video. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Thank you!
Interesting! I keep it super simple with 1 pair of daily trainers.
Grats on the Coros partnership man!
I started with just the Pegasus and then pretty shortly after moved to a 2 shoe rotation. I used that for a little over a year before adding more to the lineup.
And thank you!!!
@@joshuaxruns Nike React Infinity for me!
That was actually my second pair of shoes. I loved the first version of the Nike infinity run!
For race day shoe, if the course is hill marathon with high elevation gain, vaporfly and alphafly which is better?
I personally prefer the Alphafly. I like both shoes a lot, but in the later stages of the marathon the extra bounce from the Alphafly and the air pods just seem to be more forgiving. I haven’t tried the Vaporfly 3 though so I can’t speak to how they’ve improved.
Have you tried the adidas adios pro 3? Great bang for your buck tempo/race day shoe
I actually really want to try it! I’ve heard great things about the pro 3. I’ve run in the Boston 10 and adios 6 and actually liked those so I’m assuming I would like the pro 3. Thanks!
@@joshuaxruns yeah man, highly recommend them! They feel like a hybrid. Between the AF 2 and VF 2. Little less cushion than the AF 2 but more than the VF 2, with nice responsiveness.
Nice! Definitely on the list as a shoe to get for my next race.
i love superblast and pegasus 40
Same! 2 of my favorite shoes.
Greetings from Brazil
Hello!
Did you need to size up for the alpha fly?
I did not. Nike is one of the only brands where my TTS US 10.5 works across all shoes with no issues.
I know it’s late but I wear 10 in all shoes and size 10 alpha flys fitted me perfectly
Hoka till I die
Still haven’t tried Hoka but I’ve heard great things! I want to try the Mach 5.
Extremely boring rotation but if it's working it's all good. Have a great running year !
Running shoe rotations don’t need to be exciting, they just need to work. This rotation works for me at the moment but I’m always open to improving where I believe something may work better. The idea of the video was to give a better understanding of how I utilize a type of shoe for my training, regardless of what model or brand it is.
@@joshuaxruns for some people it don't need to be exciting, for me it helps as it motivates me to run. I'm just that way. I envy people that find all the joy in just running itself. All the best !
Very true! I do find when I get a new shoe it helps motivate me for a little bit but eventually my motivation goes back to baseline 😂 and thank you!
@@Amen20 How would his shoe rotation be more exciting? You run in stilts or something?
@@adultslovepokemon6615 Sonics Rocket Shoes would be preferable, you should try it instead of stilts , you might look silly in those.
