Salsa piano lesson - learn how to play in latin style.
Salsa music is extremely rich in percussion instruments and Afro-Cuban rhythms.
In this video lesson we are going to focus on the piano role which is called Montuno and the bass role which is called Tumbao
This is a piano riff for 2 hands. The left hand play the Tumbao role and the right hand play the Montuno role.
In this piano tutorial I will show you how to combine this 2 roles together.
The chord progression of this piano tutorial is
Bo E7(b9) Am D7(9)
Salsa is a Latin American musical style. And a general name for a musical genre that developed in New York in the 1960s. Influenced by traditional Afro-Cuban rhythms such as mambo, cha cha cha, guaguanco and more.

i like it .....really cool ..!! souvenirs of my first salsa piano lesson in 2007..... Complex technic...! but after 6 months i enjoyed playing it on AUTOMN S LEAVES .....i love dancing and playin salsa...i m from MARTINIC .... you know ! 16 years ago i heard a very awsome funky salsa piano instrumental ..... one time... on latin radio and another time in discotheque i danced all night long with beautifull girl and forget to ask the dj the name of the song ...Now the girl is gone..! but this music is still on my mind ...! more than the girl ..!.i am still looking for it .....if you have any idea it will be priceless .....FUNKY PIANO SALSA
