I was stunned but I ate that experience up like a starving women. Just being there while he set up..which gown with which painting was a gift. Thank you so much for posting this.
Alaia's clothes are incredible!! They drape so perfectly on a woman's body...and the small little details are just spectacular..and how beautiful does Linda Evangelista and Naomi Campbell look?
+obaidCarkey Yes he is, but sadly becuase he marches to his own beating drum (not showing with the other designers during fashion week, etc.) he doesn't have the financial success that he should. He's absolutely one of the very best i have ever seen.
Stephanie was a longtime fan of Azzedine, while AZZIdine was only checking for Naomi. His MIUSE and adopted daughter. She closed his shows, usually if it was not Naomi, it was another melanated Queen. (don't white-wash the story, keep it real and authentic)
He is Tunisian born. From a family of farmers.. Born in Tunisia to Tunisian parents. He moved to France as an adult and may have became a French citizen. He is either an Arab or a Berber. I don’t get the impression he was proud of his heritage even though he studied fashion formally in Tunis.
