- As we all know, the Skoda Laura 1.8 TSI is one of the best cars you can buy in a budget if you want a car that has immense tuning potential. So we went out and bought one ourselves! We bought ourselves a 2011 Skoda Laura TSI and it has a few problems in it. Our goal with this car is to make it into a Stage 2 car and do all of the mods possible in the budget that we have. We will be installing many performance mods, tyres, wheels and many more small bits here and there. The Laura 1.8 TSI is our new project car and let us know in the comments what we should name it!

Look out for “Timing Tensioner” as well, these EA888 Gen 2 engine are prone to failure, for models before year 2012.
VW had a recall and re-introduced updated Timing Tensioner.

Lol tensioner are a easy job compared to those lovely oil scraper ring which is faulty thanks to the brilliant design by audi😂😂

I recently bought a civic. Got the Sony XAV 5000 stereo for it. While it has both Apple carplay and Android auto I'm really unimpressed with the UI and how slow it is. In fact downright disappointed with the 20k I spent on it. If you were considering it, I'd suggest a rethink.

@Ritesh Yadav hmm , I won’t be doing any exhaust or performance mods. Maybe a stage 1+ ecu tune and a good air filter
Petrol is much much more fun to drive than the diesel but the only issue is that it only comes with the dq200 dsg gearbox . This gearbox is famous for having a lot of issues and is very expensive to fix.

Sure you can. But the biggest problem imo with the Cruze is the gearbox. That's not getting much better. But a new set of coilovers will make it a better handler
