Been playing pistol/shield + hammer on a power/condi DH, with some healing from blocks. Traps also gaining aegis. Lots of support there in team fights. And teleporting hitting the banish is just so damn satisfying. :D
I rather have scepter gone instead of torch.. what do you mean that 4 ability can be recast if it procs, and you get the best "breath" ability in the game, as the fire and water breath of ele is sooooo ugly and thin, whilst on guardian that shit looks amazing! I will 1000% rock both pistols and at times pistol Torch, thnx for the vid tho to each there own taste ofc
Devs did this on purpose. It needs to be comparable to offhand Sword in damage output. If it was mainhand, it would replace every 1-hand weapon from just Pistol#4's damage.
@Spudzie could you please make a video about dual swords firebrand, i really need a footage of that, i made a hibrid build with sword/sword, mace/shield. I'm really addicted to GW2 and dont even have played the game yet. I would really appreciate if you could do that.
for pve pistol offhand is weaker than torch. I played Pistol/Torch - Scepter and i was able to reach 40k-41k dps on golem. With double pistol i got max ~38k
I was screwing around with pistol/ pistol willy and getting 20 burn stacks with minimal effort and no condi duration. If you guys think willbender is aids wvw, just wait. It's gonna be much worse.
@@razrielshut312 Guardian is only designed as a holy knight for the base specializations. They make each Elite Spec change your class name exactly to give you a different class identities. I'm not gonna say your way of seeing it isn't valid, but personally I think the pistols go nicely with Willbender as it makes me feel like a cool agile magical gunslinger who has adapted the pistols as their casting implement over traditional things like a scepter or staff because it gives them an edge in speed. (Willbender is designed as a martial artist, so it kinda gives the Gun-fu idea, which with how much technology there is in GW2 doesn't feel out-of-place) It also helps that I have the Foxfire weapon skins, which fot fantastically with Willbender thematically and the pistols actually look like magical flintlock pistols.

My experience? 600k dmg easily on hybrid pistolbender in sPvP. Not to mention how stylish and cool it is.

Torch 5 is meh, wished every hit caused burn then I would enjoy it more

I looked at it like the shortbow on revenant. Where you can use it both ways effectively
I honestly didn't like the sound effects, seemed too weak/low/not impactful to me but everything else i really loved it.
If you have enough Black Lion stones, you can get the hand crossbow skin, then the sound will fit.

I agree so much with you. But i think pistol 4 should be on pistol 2 position and pistol will kill the scepter.
If that’s the case, I’m not sure if offhand pistol would replace torch :/
