I don't believe I am about to publicly admit this, but I am 47 and I have been out of school for over 25 years. I am preparing to take my GED Math test and I have always had a disability in understanding and retaining anything to do with Math. but this video has really unlocked my ability to understand this cretin style of mathematical understanding in which I need to overcome this hurdle. haha thanks for this. I moved from Canada to the US after i finished middle school and I learned a bit of algebra in Canada so my new high school decided to give me a credit in Algebra I. So in turn for my math class i was put in Geometry. Turns out i never learned this in Canada while everyone who took Algebra I in middle school did. when i saw y=mx+b in class today i was confused. Thanks for teaching me this!

My class has spent two weeks learning this and I might have a test tomorrow so I decided to try to figure this out and I think I finally understand it I just though the (M) was just the Rise because some equations would be like Y = 6x + 1 but now ive figure out that's basically just Y = 1x +1 so Thank You
